One of life's mysteries that we've often wondered but never answered is why pizza boxes come in squares but a pizza inside is round?
Don't get us started on the heart-shaped Valentine's Day ones, they don't count.
Surely the logical idea would be to have square pizza and use all the available space?

Well, it seems we no longer need to wonder, as a TikTok user has saved the day with their clear explanation.
It seems the answer is all down to the cardboard packaging and how to store them.
In a video on the FactBuddy account on TikTok, the account explains: "Have you ever wondered why pizza boxes are square? Pizzas are round, so shouldn't the boxes be round too?

"Well, there actually have been designs for round boxes for over 15 years. Pizza places don't typically like to use them."
He continues: "You see, round boxes use several pieces of cardboard and are difficult to stack, but square boxes are cheaper to produce requiring only a single sheet of cardboard."
Replies on the video have also weighed in with one user pointing out another shape in the mix as they commented: "Pizza box is square, pizza is round, but then cut into triangles."

Another person thanked the account for clearing up the question, as they added: "Your videos are a symphony of imagination that leaves us inspired and amazed."
This isn't the first time FactBuddy has cleared up some of the burning questions in life, as in another video he explains the history of the piggy bank.
The humble money bank is explained as the account clarifies: "In the 15th century, people would store their money in pots. And they called these pots pig pots because they were made out of a clay called pigge.
"Pretty soon, potters started making these pig pots look like actual pigs as a joke. And, well the rest is history."

TikTok is also a goldmine for food and drink hacks, like this one featuring a woman's genius way to make beans and toast.
Who knew that cutting up buttered toast with scissors would make the iconic meal ten times easier? It's a win-win situation.
The hack has won over other TikTok users for the unique way of preparing the classic dish, as one person wrote: "Nope. But what a brilliant idea!"

Others labelled the hack as a 'game changer', as they commented: "My mum does it for my son. He loves it! Also. Yes to scissors on pizza. Game changer!!!"
