Fans of Bridgerton have been issued with a stern warning against ‘fridgescpaing’, the new trend sweeping the internet.
TikTok has been flush with Regency-era inspired fridges that contain more than just a sad looking bag of spinach that you’ll definitely make use of tomorrow.
Food safety experts have now weighed in and it’s not good news for those who were hoping to have a fridge worthy of the ‘Ton.

Influencers online are sharing footage of their fridges which include the likes of items such as fresh flowers, plants, picture frames, mirrors and other bits and bobs.
There have also been sightings of wicker baskets in fridges, little statues and handwritten letters.
But ever the party dampeners, the Foods Standards Agency (FSA) have stepped in to issue a warning against the trend, bluntly stating that keeping food next to the above trinkets could be a serious health hazard.

Further, the official watchdog has urged people to steer clear of storing their food in containers that have been used for other purposes and to keep all loose produce in sealed bags or containers.
This is to avoid the risk of cross-contamination with harmful bacteria.
Marketing director for digital appliances at Samsung Electronics UK, Tanya Weller, told the Daily Mail: "Fridgescaping is a fun, creative trend that enables you to organise everyday food items and decorate an area of your kitchen that isn't always on show, but with certain models it could become increasingly important.
"There's also a practical side in organising your food and lessening food waste... Being organised can not only look good, but it can help you keep track of foods and help plan the family meals."

TikToker and self-proclaimed 'Povvo', Shabaz Says, largely popularised the trend.
In his fridgescaping video, he says: "Hi, you're poor, you may not understand this, but let me show you fridgescaping.
"You're not adding ceramic swans with flowers or jewellery boxes with actual jewellery inside in the fridge... you strive to be this level of unemployed, but you can't. You can't afford to stock up your fridge, let alone fridgescape."

Household cleaning whizz Laura Mountford, who has amassed over one million followers on social media, told the Telegraph: "It's all well and good being pretty, but if it's not going to add value to your everyday life, it's not going to have any longevity.
"You can get so many acrylic boxes for any type of food and they're so much easier to properly clean… the fridge is not the place for a wicker basket."
Quite.
