Google has now revealed its most searched terms in 2024 and some of them won’t come as a surprise.
Now, we've already been privy to this year's Spotify Wrapped and even Pornhub's Year in Review rundowns and now everyone's favourite search engine is also hopping on the annual summarising trend.
Many of us use Google every single day - asking it anything spanning from 'how much should you spend on your partner for Christmas' all the way through to frantically listing your medical symptoms after falling under the weather with nothing but a common cold.

And while we probably all use it for extremely varying reasons, it's clear there were some recurring things us Brits all Googled throughout the year.
So, without further ado, let's get into it.
News
Quite a lot happened this year including two major world sporting events; the Euros which saw Spain take home the trophy as well as the Olympics.

Additionally, we all watched on as the US election took place last month which historically announced Donald Trump as the first convicted felon to serve in the presidential role.
It was huge when Britpop legends, Oasis, announced their 2025 reunion tour with hundreds of thousands racing to nab tickets.
A couple of TV series, Baby Reindeer and Fool Me Once, clearly took Netflix by storm too.

Jay Slater, the British teen who went missing on the Spanish island of Tenerife and tragically died, as well as Michael Mosley, who was found dead after going missing on the Greek island of Symi, were also of key interest.
Equally, there was a lot of Google searches when One Direction star, Liam Payne, died after falling from a third floor of the hotel he was staying at in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
And, following Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis and her prolonged absence from royal duties, there was an avalanche of speculation and conspiracy theories which floated about online.

How to
And, last but not least, this wouldn't be a Google yearly round-up if we didn't show you all the top-searched 'how to' questions we asked.
A lot of the searches mirrored some timely events, like the election and the Oasis reunion, while others were far more evergreen.
Us Brits clearly loved our cocktails this year with 'how to make a pornstar martini' up there in the top five.
We were also apparently fairly keen on keeping our social media private with 'how to block someone on TikTok' also making it onto the list.
Here are the top 'how to' searches:
1. Vote in the UK
2. Get Oasis tickets
3. Watch Fury vs Usyk
4. Watch Tyson vs Paul
