You can now view a more detailed breakdown of your Uber ratings, meaning you can find out exactly how many five-star ratings you have, and how many one stars.

Uber has launched a new 'Privacy Centre' on both the app and online, which reveals information on your individual ratings, and who has given you what.

But beware - you may not like what you find!

To access your ratings, simply log into your account and go to settings. Tap privacy before selecting 'Privacy Centre'.

From here you can swipe right and click on 'would you like to see a summary of how you use Uber?'

Next, scroll down until you find 'browse your data' and click on 'view my ratings'.

You'll then be able to view exactly what your drivers think about you, and more importantly, what they've rated you out of five!

Surprised by your ratings?

Well, there's ways you can increase your driver rating, with Uber putting together a handy blog post of how you can improve.

They explain: "Both riders and drivers have the ability to rate one to five stars on a trip. Your rating is the average of your last 500 trips. If you want to help improve your rating, drivers have shared some of the top reasons they hand out fewer stars."

Uber explain one of the top reasons for poor ratings is mess, followed by not wearing a seatbelt.

"Drivers shouldn’t have to clean up after you. Always make sure to take your trash and any other belongings with you. Don’t leave a mess behind," they explain.

"Studies show that unbuckled passengers in the back seat can put the driver at greater risk of injury in a crash. So always remember to buckle up for your and the driver’s safety."

Other reasons include drivers waiting around for you at the pick up location, as well as rude passengers and slamming car doors.

"Remember that drivers’ time is valuable and they shouldn’t have to wait for you. A smooth pickup is better for everyone so be ready to go when the driver arrives," said Uber.

"As outlined in our Community Guidelines, we want riders and drivers to feel safe, respectful, and positive. Always treat your driver and their vehicle as you would want to be treated.

"Don’t slam the door! It is easy to accidentally slam a door if you aren’t thinking about it, and drivers have consistently cited door slams as a reason why they deduct stars."
