Waking up when it's still dark outside can be challenging, especially during the winter months when daylight hours are shorter.
And it can often be tempting to simply hit 'snooze' on your alarm clock, particularly when 7.00am looks the same outside as 2.00am.
Fear not, however, as one TikTok influencer has dosed out some top tips when it comes to getting yourself out of bed early throughout the winter, despite the pitch-black sky and chilly mornings.

Dani Schenone laid out her nifty tricks and tips in a one minute, 22 second video, which, since being posted in April this year, has accumulated 1.2 million likes.
"If you suck at getting up early, you're not going to suck anymore," the Aussie social media star promised. "You wanna know why? Because you have me!"
Dani went on to admit: "I too used to suck at getting up early, so here's what you're gonna do. You're going to set your alarm for the time that you wanna wake up, Monday through Friday.

"Give yourself Saturday and Sunday - we're not trying to do the most," she added. "Let's say you wanna wake up at 6.00am, and you want to go to class or the gym or on a walk or read a book.
"The second your alarm wakes you up, I want you to go on your phone. I know, I know, I know, all the people that say getting on your phone first thing in the morning is the worst thing that you can do.
"But we know that you're doing it, so why not use it to your advantage for the entire week?"
Dani continued: "I want you to wake up at 6.00am, get on your phone, do whatever you like to do on your phone for an entire hour and then get ready for work.

"You want to build the habit of just waking up - not waking up and doing the things that you wanna do in order to be the human that you wanna be. The brain is rebellious little s**t and you need to treat it like a child.
"So, how can you get a child to do something?" she asks. "Positive reinforcement. What do we all like to do? Be on our phones. So, use that to your advantage.
"Once that habit becomes more manageable, that is where the magic happens. Only at that time, is when you can start to introduce the things that you wanna do in the morning."
