Maybe you've been feeling a little more overwhelmed than usual, wondering whether your communication with pals and work colleagues alike has taken a knock and even worrying about how your past may be impacting your present?
Well, if that sounds even the littlest bit relatable - don't you worry as there's actually a reason behind all this chaos.
Yep, you guessed it, we've got yet another Mercury retrograde on our hands and we're set to feel the effects of it until practically the end of the month (27 August).

Now, the last Mercury retrograde - which is infamous for its potential to disrupt various aspects of everyday life - departed back in April.
The astrological phase often leaves many wondering what to expect.
What is Mercury?
Celebrity expert astrologer, Inbaal Honigman explains via Tarotoo that Mercury is seen as the planet of communication in astrology, adding: "This planet has a strong impact on all things communication - emails, online shopping, texts, conversations, speeches and even contracts.

"The planet Mercury rules the zodiac signs of Gemini and Virgo, both communicative signs, great conversationalists and skilled sales people. The position of Mercury affects how shopping, chatting and texting would go on each particular day."
What does Mercury retrograde mean?
Inbaal tells us that when we say that a planet is in retrograde, it means that it appears to be going backwards in the sky.
"In actual fact, planets can only ever travel forward, along their orbit, but because our planet Earth moves, too, sometimes planets appear as if they're going backwards," she continues.

"When a planet is retrograde, we view it as bringing challenges within the realm of that particular planet, and also potentially dragging the past into the present."
What happens when Mercury is in retrograde?
The big thing about Mercury retrograde is that it's characterised by a 'breakdown in communication'.

Emails going missing, passwords getting accidentally changed and phone numbers being deleted are all very typical of the Mercury retrograde.
And that's not all as compliments being taken the wrong way, job interviews leading nowhere, any communication going awry is a hallmark of Mercury's backspin, Inbaal notes.
"Mercury retrograde is also known for bringing back shadows of the past. Those shadows take the shape of exes trying to return, old jobs reaching out, and friends reminding you of memories you'd rather forget," she adds.
So guys, brace yourselves, as we've got a rocky few weeks ahead.
