Figuring out bills with your partner can be tricky at the best of times.
However, we hope it’s easier than this woman whose boyfriend charged her for eating breakfast at his parents’ house.
Even more shockingly, he sent her a spreadsheet with the expense. Take a look below:
If you haven’t seen the TikTok by Maddy Blythe about her stingy spouse, it’s definitely worth a watch.

Known for her money-saving hacks on the app, she explains to her 22,900 followers about how she’d visited her ex’s parents and been charged for eating a piece of toast and a banana.
This is despite the content creator bringing a gift to the home, hoping to impress her then-boyfriend’s parents.
“I brought a little gift basket, brought some wine, brought some nice soaps, candles, whatnot,” she explained, adding that the couple mainly spent their time exploring the surrounding area.

Maddy and her boyfriend even paid for dinner one night, treating his mum to something which she call a ‘little bit expensive’.
For most people, the kind gesture would be more than enough to compensate for the toast and the fruit.
After they arrived back though, the money expert was sent a spreadsheet with $3.23 charged for the brief breakfast.

Though the couple usually shared spreadsheets to split their finances, she was initially confused by the charge which was amongst all their other expenses from the trip.
“I did notice there was one line in the Excel document that I was kind of confused about, and the line just said ‘Breakfast’ for $3.23,” she told fans.
When she asked about the amount, her boyfriend then replied that she ‘owed’ him and his mum for the breakfast.
“And he looks at me deadpan and goes, ‘oh well that’s for the banana and piece of toast that you ate at my mum’s. You ate that so, you know, you owe me and my mum money’,” he pointedly told her.

Rather than make a huge deal of it, Maddy paid – something she regrets now.
Needless to say, they are no longer together but it’s unclear whether the breakfast was what cost the stingy man his three-year relationship.
Understandably, fans were shocked in the comments and vented their anger at the unnamed man.
“How did you not break up with him on the spot?” one Tiktoker said, with another adding: “The fact you were okay getting a bill in spreadsheet format from your bf!"

A third also suggested that she’d been overcharged, writing: “That is madness.. With that $3.23 you could have gotten your own loaf and a bunch of bananas.”
Well, we guess what’s money between boy-friends, eh?
