How tonight’s New Moon is going to affect your relationships

An astrologer has shared exactly how the major lunar event will impact our love lives this November

We've got a New Moon to look forward to this evening (1 November) along with all the changes, potential drama, and all-round cosmic chaos that inherently come with any major lunar event.

Now, we already know the top three zodiac signs affected by tonight's New Moon in Scorpio - but how will it more generally affect all of our love lives?

What is the New Moon?

Speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, tarot expert and psychic, Inbaal Honigman, explains: "Every month, the birth of the new moon occurs when the Sun and the Moon are in the same sign. During the New Moon of Scorpio season, the moon would be in Scorpio.

"The time of the New Moon is a time of new beginnings, fresh ideas and fearless decisions."

What is the New Moon in Scorpio?

Now, Scorpio is a 'sensitive and passionate sign' and its sign has two planetary rulers; a traditional ruler and a modern one.

Inbaal tells us that Scorpio’s traditional ruling planet is Mars, which is an 'intense and fiery' planet of passion and battle.

However, Scorpio’s modern ruling planet is Pluto, the planet of transformation linked with endings and beginnings.

"Therefore, the New Moon in Scorpio predicts big, life-changing decisions and significant changes," Inbaal warns.

"Not just a new hair colour, but a whole new identity. Not just a new rug, but potentially moving home and even switching countries."

How does the New Moon affect friendships and relationships?

Due to that, it's no surprise that tonight's New Moon will also have a a pretty big impact on both our platonic and romantic relationships.

"As the New Moon is a time for new beginnings, it turns over a new leaf in all aspects of life," the experts tells us.

So, in friendships for example, it may 'forecast a new adventure ahead' which could manifest as a trip away with a new mate or a long-overdue catch-up with an old one.

And as for love?

Well, Inbaal says that the New Moon can attract a brand-new lover, or it can be 'the beginning of a new stage in a relationship such as moving in together'.

However, it's not all sunshine and roses, as the astrologer also warns: "Since Scorpio is a sign that loves mystery, any changes during the New Moon in Scorpio might be dependent on secrets or lies.

"Be careful, as the Full Moon in two weeks will reveal all that is hidden."

I guess we'll have to just wait and see what takes place from now until the Beaver Full Moon in a couple weeks's time on the 15th of November.
