It's safe to say that the majority of couples who are expecting a newborn have an ideal situation in their heads as to how they would like the birth to go.
But CNN news presenter Kasie Hunt was left a little surprised at the breakneck speed she welcomed her little one.

The CNN chief national affairs analyst welcomed her second child into the world on Wednesday (1 March) on the bathroom floor of her home after just a 13-minute labour.
Though Hunt and partner Matthew Mario Rivera said that their daughter 'introduced herself' rather than the couple welcoming her into the world.
Taking to Instagram, the news presenter posted a picture of her cradling her newborn - named Grey Hunt Rivera - on the bathroom floor.

She accompanied the post with: "WELCOMING HERSELF TO THE WORLD: My husband @mattmrivera & I are thrilled to introduce our daughter, Grey Hunt Rivera—though really, she introduced herself.
"Grey was delivered by dad on the bathroom floor after 13 minutes of labor, before we even had time to dial 911, and 24 hours before she was scheduled to arrive via C section."
Hunt continued by thanking the District of Columbia fire and emergency team on hand who "talked us through the incredibly intense moments before she took her first breaths, and who arrived within minutes to bring mom and baby safely to the hospital."
She concluded the post: "Big brother Mars could not be more proud, and we couldn’t be more excited for life as a family of four."

People revealed Grey weighed 8 lbs., 4 oz. at birth, with 3-year-old and now big brother Mars not being able to stop 'talking about his new baby sister'.
Hunt elaborated on her Instagram post in an interview with People, saying: "Grey was born at home, early Wednesday morning, after 13 minutes of sudden labor — before there was even time to call the paramedics. Dad sprang into action and delivered baby Grey on the bathroom floor.
"Thank you to the firefighters and paramedics on the scene who treated mom and baby at home and then brought us safely to Sibley Hospital in Washington. It's a day we'll never forget!"

Hunt's exciting arrival comes just over a year after she underwent a four-hour operation to remove a benign brain tumor.
She told People: "We are thrilled to be able to celebrate this after the health trials I had over the past year.
"Expanding the love in our lives is the perfect way to keep healing."
