Woman Gets Oven Sparkling Using Just One Cheap Ingredient

This is brilliant!

Cleaning the oven is a notoriously tricky job, but one woman on TikTok has shared a one-ingredient cleaning trick for getting your oven sparkling – and it looks pretty genius.

You can watch the clip below:

TikToker @washy_wash took to the video sharing platform where she filmed a demonstration of the handy trick – and it's so simple.

She first begins by taking a metal bowl and adding a sliced lemon and water. She then pops the bowl into the oven and preheats at 200C.

The TikToker doesn't say how long she leaves the lemon and water in the oven for, but in the comments she suggests 20-30 minutes.

Once the bowl has been removed from the oven, @washy_wash then takes a cloth, soaks it in the water and begins scrubbing the oven.

And it works brilliantly, with the cleaning guru holding the dirty cloth up at the end to prove how effective it is.

And other people are loving the trick, with the video racking up more than 2,000 comments.

We recently told you about another handy cleaning trick – people are using dishwasher tablets to clean their bathroom showers.

News of the hack has been doing the rounds on the Facebook group Mums Who Clean.

There, a user named Gemma shared a snap of her spotless shower with the caption: "Whoever suggested dishwasher tablets to clean your shower is a legend.

She added: "Never in my life have I been able to clean a shower with such ease."

The social media user explained that all it took to get her shower looking like new was 'three Fairy dishwashing tablets'.

She wrote: "I literally just made sure the shower was wet, used a tiny bit of water on the tablet to soften it, then wiped over with the tablet."

Gemma explained that with the aid of a small scrubbing brush, she was able to effectively clean every nook and cranny of the shower.

However, she did warn other people that it can cause your shower to become very slippery with the amount of product in the tablet, so please be careful!

And people were so impressed with the trick, with hundreds taking to the comments. One wrote: "My sister-in-law melts the tablets in hot water and makes a paste. Easy to smear over the shower."

While another said: "I cleaned mine with dishwashing tablets just the other day, such an amazing result and absolutely no hard work on my side."
