There are several unspoken fashion rules and restrictions that wedding attendees should abide by - in order to keep the bride and groom happy on their big day.
No. 1: Don't opt for anything too casual - you know, jeans, trainers, etc.
No. 2: Don't dress in black - this ain't no funeral.

No. 3: Nothing too short or revealing - this is supposed to be a classy affair.
And arguably the most important rule of all... No. 4: Do NOT wear white.
Despite these fashion regulations having remained commonplace at wedding ceremonies for years now, one mother of the bride has this week come under fire for disobeying the one of the all-important orders.
Taking to social media, Stacey D - known on TikTok as @staceydsellshomes - revealed that her daughter was soon to be tying the knot, and asked her 12,500 followers to advise her on the type of dress she should be wearing for the special day.

It wasn't until Stacey showed off the first of her four gown options that viewers were left utterly staggered, after she tried on an off-white, floor length, lace gown.
But things only went from bad to worse for viewers, after she revealed that her second option was, yet again, another brilliant white, floor-length, lace gown.
The same was the case for the third option, which mimicked the same bridal style of the first two garments.

It wasn't until the fourth option appeared on their screens that viewers seemingly signed a breath of relief.
Stacey could then be seen body-popping in a dusty pink, glitter midi dress, with plunging neckline and a multitude of sequins.
Naturally, it was the pink dress that received the most support from viewers, with many hitting out at the mother for even considering wearing a white dress to her daughter's nuptials.

"4 by default because the others look like you are the bride," one penned in the comments.
Another added: "4… the rest are all wedding dresses? Or are you supposed to be wearing white?"
"Momma don't you dare wear a white dress - The pink sparkly one is everything!!" a third advised.
Another continued: "If you hate the bride definitely wear white - otherwise 4".

In a follow-up video, however, Stacey went on to reveal that none of the first three dresses were actually white, and that they were in fact a blush pink.
Moving to a different light to emphasise the colour, she told viewers: "They're not white. I'm not 'that mom', even though this is my first kid getting married so I've never done this before."
She went on to claim that she was 'sticking with the pastel theme' being that the bridesmaids dresses are a pale shade of blue and the wedding is taking place in the summer, so she wanted to emphasise her tan.
Phew.
