Taking your baby on a flight can be an anxiety-inducing and stressful experience, especially if you're worrying about how their crying might impact other passengers.
It can be even trickier if you're set to take a long-haul flight and the little one becomes unsettled by the hefty journey.
But one set of parents who took a long-haul flight with their four-month-old baby have been praised after they handed out packages including earplugs and chocolates to those in nearby rows.

The parents, who were visiting family with their baby, wrote a little note along with earplugs and a Lindt chocolate, and handed the packages out to those sitting nearby.
One passenger, @schalkiebez, shared the adorable idea on Instagram, calling it the 'cutest thing [they'd] seen in a long time'.
"The Parents of the Year Award definitely has to go to the parents of Otis," they wrote.

"All of us seated around them (I was in the row behind) got this little piece of paper with a Lindt chocolate and earplugs!
"Just thought this was the cutest thing I've seen in a long time!"
In the note, the parents explained that it was their baby's first ever plane journey, and that he would do his best to 'be calm'.

"Hello neighbour! My name is Otis, I'm four and a half months old," the note began.
"This is my first plane trip. I'm travelling across the world with my mum and dad to meet my family for the very first time.
"I'm a pretty happy baby, and mum and dad told me not to worry about this brand-new experience, so I'll try my best to be calm.
"But I'm sorry if I cry a bit from time-to-time. Mum and dad will do their best to calm me down quickly. I do have an impressive set of pipes though, so if it gets a bit much, I hope these earplugs help.

"Hope you have a nice flight!"
Other social media users were impressed with the packages, with one person commenting: "Consideration and kindness go a long way to make the world a better place."
And another added: "Literally impossible to get mad if and when that baby cries now."

Meanwhile a third wrote: "There are really good people in this world of ours, made my day."
A fourth pointed out: "So sweet, but really it’s the rest of the passengers that should be showing this level of concern and support for the mama and baby, not the other way around."
