People are flooding to social media after a woman revealed she got the ick after her date didn't make sure to split the bill.
Ah, the age old problem of whether or not to split the bill on a date.
Yes men, it's possible to be a feminist and think men should pay more on a date. We may live in the 21st century, but the gender pay gap is still very much raging.

Granted, it's a contentious topic, and there's an argument for both sides - it's normally easier to just split the bill in half, particularly if it's early doors and you're only a few dates in.
However, TikToker Ashleigh Nekeman has revealed when her date didn't make sure to split the bill with her it resulted in her getting the dreaded 'ick'.

Ashleigh - who goes by @ashleighnekeman on TikTok - has uploaded a video to the platform calling on other 'ladies' for their opinion on whether or not her ick is valid.

The TikToker explains she's recently started dating again and has been on 'a few dates with one guy'.
She reveals the fourth time they saw each other they decided to get some massages, paid for themselves separately and then grabbed some sushi for lunch.
"I'm still trying to figure out do I actually like this guy or... What's going on?" Ashleigh adds.
After finishing their sushi, then came the moment to pay for the meal.

Ashleigh notes the waitress asked them how they'd like to pay, to which her date 'straight up' responded: "Let's split it."
"I'm just a little bit like, 'Okay'. Like the total was $40," the TikToker says.
However, Ashleigh notes how on all the other dates she's been on with the guy they've always 'both kind of paid' - such as her paying for credits for an arcade after he buys dinner.

The waitress struggles with splitting the bill for them, so Kayleigh says to just pay together.
"He's not offering to pay so I say I'll pay for it," she says.
However, after paying for the meal, rather than offering to send her money for the meal, her date says nothing.

"Five seconds ago you weren't going to pay for my food, but I just paid for your food and now you don't want to split it. Like what the f**k?" Kayleigh adds.
"So, I have the ick now. And he walks me to my car and goes in for a kiss and I awkwardly make up an excuse."
Kayleigh blamed the sushi to dodge the kiss - awks - and resolves to followers: "Am I just asking for too much?"
Well, it hasn't taken long for men and women alike to flood to the post to weigh in on Kayleigh's dilemma.
One user said: "So you're broke, just say it and move on to another guy who will pay for ur food that you're eating."
"Runnnnnn babe! A real man will provide no matter what. If he can't even buy you a plate of food then he's a waste of energy," another said.
A third chimed: "Very valid ick. I may think differently if the meal was $100 or more."
And a fourth resolved: "From a guy.. He's not the guy for you.. But I gotta ask why four dates if you're not sure about him."
