There comes a time when parents must explain the birds and the bees to their children and it can be quite awkward for everyone involved.
Behold, artificial intelligence has come through with a very simple, PG-rated version of how life is made which could come as a huge relief for adults at a loss for how to talk to their kids about sex and reproduction.
Tyla asked ChatGPT to share a child-friendly version of how babies are which, to which the chatbot replied: "Making a baby is a very special process that happens when a mommy and daddy decide they want to have a baby together.

"Inside the mommy's belly, there is a tiny egg, and inside the daddy, there are tiny cells called sperm.
"When the mommy and daddy come together and decide it's time to have a baby, the daddy's sperm travels to meet the mommy's egg.
"If one of the daddy's sperm joins with the mommy's egg, it creates a tiny, tiny baby that starts to grow inside the mommy's belly."

It continued: "The baby grows bigger and stronger every day until it's ready to be born. After about nine months, the baby is ready to come out into the world, and that's when the mommy goes to the hospital, and the doctors and nurses help bring the baby safely into the world.
"It's important to remember that making a baby is a very grown-up decision, and it's something that parents think about and plan for when they feel ready to take care of a little one."
The Chatbot also added some much needed advice for confused parents in case they get any additional questions from their kids.

It said: "It's essential to keep the explanation simple, honest, and age-appropriate, while also being sensitive to the child's emotions and level of understanding. If the child has further questions, be prepared to answer them honestly and with care."
Or you could just put the additional questions in ChatGPT...
Another question which may stump parents is when they should have the dreaded ‘sex talk’ with their children.

Frankly, there is no simply answer about timing and the NHS states that it is never too early to begin having these types of conversations with your children.
You don’t have to give them all the details in the first instance!
But if you’re really struggling to find the right time to talk to your kids about sex, the average age puberty starts for girls is 11 while for boys it starts at 12, according to the NHS.
