If you feel like your relationship has hit a bit of a brick wall, one expert is urging you to try this six-second tip which can 'turn your relationship around'.

MAFS UK expert Paul C. Brunson sat down with Lorraine Kelly during her daytime show and revealed the mega quick rule to viewers.

"If you’re having a hard time connecting with your partner, try this rule," Paul explained in the caption.

"It only takes six seconds a day (or more if you want it to) and it will turn your relationship around.

"Have you tried this before? Let me know in the comments."

Take a look at his advice:

In the clip, Paul explained that the key to a successful marriage could lie in kissing - and specifically, how much we're kissing our partners.

"The tragic news is that most married couples only kiss each other once a week," he explained.

"For one second. What research tells us is that six seconds of a real kiss helps to establish more of a connection, lower stress, makes your partner feel good. So here's my challenge to everyone.

"Six second kiss with your partner, once a day.

"Once a day, it will keep the divorce solicitor away."

People were super intrigued in the comments, with one person writing: "When the kissing goes, the romance goes, kissing is imperative!!"

While another said: "Interesting.... Married 27 years. We kiss all the time."

And a third added: "We kiss at least 6 times a day! And sometimes for longer than 6 seconds. It’s our 18 year wedding anniversary next week & I think never stop kissing. I helps with the closeness."

Meanwhile, a fourth pointed out: "If I kissed my husband for 6 seconds he would immediately think it's leading to something else."

Meanwhile, a fifth said they'd tried Paul's advice and it had worked wonders, adding: "We have been doing this since I saw this post and it is amazing really wonderful, I feel better connected and closer together, fingers crossed."

Paul has recently been busy helping couples over on MAFS UK, alongside fellow experts Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas.

And it's been a pretty explosive season so far, with heaps of drama, arguments and break-ups.

In Tuesday evening's episode, viewers were shocked at groom Adam’s behaviour during the controversial wife swap week, in which bride Amy moved in for a few days.

Viewers were horrified that Adam could be seen doing things for Amy that he wasn't fond of doing with Polly.

Rushing to social media to share their thoughts on the matter, one X user chirped: "Adam saying he’d feel 'awkward' in a sex shop with Polly *HIS WIFE* but feels completely comfortable with Amy is very telling of how he really feels towards Polly isn’t it…"

"Naaaaah Adam is planning to make breakfast in bed," slammed a second. "Polly had to beg for 40 days and night for a spag bol! Sorry but Polly needs to have some shame! He doesn’t like you!"

Married at First Sight UK airs every Monday to Thursday at 9.00pm on E4.
