Woman mortified after admitting to sleeping with her married cousin after ‘a night out of drinking’

Woman mortified after admitting to sleeping with her married cousin after ‘a night out of drinking’

This takes hangxiety to a whole other level

It's a tale as old as time.

Going out for the night, having a bit too much to drink and doing something that makes us hold our head in our hands the next day.

There's even terms for it - beer fear, or hangxiety, take your pick.

Well, we can safely assume whatever you've woken up worrying about isn't as bad as this.

A woman has shocked the internet after sharing that she had sex with a family member after getting black-out drunk.

Taking to Reddit's infamous TrueOffMyChest forum, the anonymous 27-year-old woman took readers on a journey of an alcohol-fuelled night she very much regrets.

The American woman titled her dilemma: 'I had drunk sex with my cousin and he's married. I feel sick about it'.

She then explained that prior to this, she had only met the cousin, who is around 15 years older than her, four times, as her extended family 'isn't close'.

She refers to him as 'James', though that isn't his real name.

She shared: "My aunt called me to let me know that her son and his wife lived in the city and they were willing to show me around.

"Her son 'James' and I texted back and forth and I met him and [his wife] 'Anne' for dinner."

She continued: "I'd never met James's wife before. Anne and I immediately got along. She's beautiful both inside and out, and we have the same sarcastic sense of humour. If she wasn't married and I was into girls, I'd marry her.

"After dinner, we went and had drinks, and they insisted I stay at their house instead of driving home late at night."

She then explains that this became a pattern - and it was normal for her and James to spend time alone.

Anne often would withdraw from hanging out with them because she suffered from back damage.

The anonymous woman then shared that she and James went out dancing... and here's where it gets messy.

She continued: "We went to the club, danced, drank a little, then he got tired of me stepping on his feet and we went to a nearby wine place and drank and talked. By the time the place closed, neither of us was in any shape to drive.

"I was drunk, really drunk. We both were. I remember us arguing, because he told me I was coming home and I told him I'd already paid for a hotel.

"I got an Uber and we were going to share. We got to my hotel and he said he'd see me to my room cause at that point I wasn't walking straight. We were being goofy, singing and stuff.

"I threw a shoe at him in my room, missed by a mile, and he fell out of his chair laughing. We were that level drunk. At some point I passed out."

She then explains further that she woke up suffering from a headache, and she was naked and 'sore in certain places'.

When James eventually woke up, she asked James if they'd had sex and he 'nodded'.

She shared that she has now started to remember more about that night, and remembers having sex.

She continued: "I asked what we were going to do about Anne, he said he felt he should tell her the truth and it was probably best if I wasn't there. He told me he would make sure she knew it wasn't my fault. He left and later I left."

She then shared that eventually she received a long text from Anne which was 'kinder' than she felt she deserved.

Anne asked for them to cut contact 'for a while', and reassured her she wouldn't tell anyone.

She then concludes: "I texted her back and told her I understood, how sorry I was, and I wouldn't contact either of them till she said so."

The comments have been flooded with people sharing their opinions.

One person wrote: "Out of respect for his wife and for yourself, say goodbye to these people and stop drinking. You don’t make good or smart decisions when you’ve been drinking."

Another said: "Bruh, Anne is a model human being."

A third chimed: "I don’t touch alcohol because of horror stories like this."
