One woman has slammed Airbnb's 4pm check-in and 10am checkout saying they 'missed the whole day' over the strict rules.
The American woman, Laika, took to TikTok to share her experiences with Airbnb alongside other travel accommodation sites and raised several issues with the company check-in policy.
Voicing her grievances with the policy, Laika went on to provide what she thought could be a solution to the 'ridiculous' issue she was presented with.

It's totally understandable why many of us want to squeeze every last second out of our holidays to enjoy the sights, soak in the culture or simply crack on with a proper good chillax.
However, with such rigid check-in and checkout rules, it's clear this was far from the case for Laika.
Understandably, the last thing any holiday-goer would want to do is cut their trip short to faff around for an early checkout, frantically rush to finish a load of house chores and generally be saddled with all their suitcases for the rest of the day before their flight.

Explaining the situation, Laika captioned the three-minute-long clip: "It’s not right! 4pm check-in and a 10am checkout. Make it a superhost priority to better our stay."
Getting straight to the point, she began: "I hate the fact that when you book a hotel or Airbnb, VRBO, whatever it is, you book that and you can’t check in until 3 or 4pm but then you have to check out at 10am or 11am."
She continued: "So we missed the whole day."

Laika then 'had to figure out' what to do with her luggage and added: "Then you have to wake up real early, hurry up and get everything together so that you can leave the property when you should be enjoying it to the time that they let you in."
She also pointed out her gripe with certain Airbnb hosts allegedly expecting their guests to do chores and clean the property ahead of checking out.
"I’m not cleaning," Laika said, "like I’m gonna clean at home. Because I booked that service and you charge two, almost three hundred dollars - why am I cleaning?"
Laika said she was happy to 'clean a little bit' after herself but stated: "I'm not I'm not taking trash out."

Speaking of certain Airbnb hosts who ask of such requirement from their guests, the woman added: "You guys make it ridiculous."
She resolved: "If I check in at 4pm I should be able to check out at 4pm. Period."
