A popular influencer and renowned travel blogger has tragically passed away after falling into a gorge whilst attempting to film social media content.
Mumbai-based rising star Aanvi Kamdar was just 27-years-old when she ventured to Kumbhe Waterfall this week as part of a tourist group.
The travelling hot-spot - located in the Manjurne province in western India - welcomes hoards of visitors per year, all of which rock up with the hope of taking in some of the region's richest views and plushest wildlife.

Amongst those to have made their way to the hotly-discussed tourist destination - which sits about 80 miles south of Mumbai - on 16 July, was social media sensation Kamdar.
Tragically, however, her trip to globally-famed waterfall would prove to be her last, after she slipped and fell into the gorge below.
According to both The Economic Times and The Independent, the YouTube favourite was doing what she does best at the time, and attempting to record footage of the realities of attending the bustling tourist pick.

A rescuer on the scene later told press that chartered accountant Kamdar had fallen 'on the hard, slippery patches of rock' that surround the sudden drop.
They added that she fell around '300 feet into the valley and couldn't be spotted initially'.
"She was sent up using a stretcher attached to rappelling ropes," the spectator continued. "Six rescuers climbed down the hill, while another 50 assisted atop the hillock."

The entire rescue operation was reported by The Times to have lasted around six hours in total, due to extreme weather conditions in the region.
When emergency authorities where eventually able to assess Kamdar's condition, it was found that the Instagram star was responsive, after which she was placed inside an ambulance and onto a ventilator.
Sadly, however upon her arrival at the nearest hospital, Kamdar - who went by the username @theglocaljournal online - was declared dead.
Since the news broke earlier today, hundreds of the star's 300,000 heartbroken followers took to her account to issue tributes to her life, which was primarily dedicated to discovering travel hacks, as well as 'luxury finds, cafés, itineraries, tips & feels' for her fellow nomads.

"Please, let’s focus on praying for her soul to rest in peace and remember the joy and positivity she brought to our lives."
Another follow penned on her most recent social media upload: "RIP - so sorry to hear about this. Although we never met, we will remember you as the girl who sent the warmest messages. Deepest condolences to the family"
