A woman who left 'creative' out of office emails for her colleagues has been branded 'unprofessional' by her boss.
The way we communicate to colleagues in the workplace is constantly changing, and it seems as though more and more companies are adopting a casual approach.
However, one woman has been called out by her boss for being 'unprofessional', after she sent her 'out of office' emails with a bit of a twist.
Theo Moise shared her creative emails on TikTok, which she thinks were 'super cute'.

She said: "At first they were like fun little stories about like adventures involving squirrels and sharks, and they would just be really fun little stories that you can read when I’m not there."
Her boss stated that the emails were 'not funny', and that her stories did not suit the business.
After going back and forth about what she can and cannot write in her out-of-office messages, Moise landed on giving her colleagues some advice.

She said: "I was like okay, so I re-did it again and my most recent one is giving wellness tips."
Moise shared five different ways to practice mindfulness during or after work - including desk meditation, and an end-of-day gratitude check.
But the backlash didn't stop there.

"Tell me why I had another conversation with [my boss] today about how unprofessional that is," she said.
Moise is the catering operations manager at a science museum, and says she is merely 'showcasing personality' with the creative emails.
She added: "I just wanted to be creative and create a spark of joy in people's mundane 9 to 5.
"And when a few people gave me positive feedback about it, I thought my intentions worked, now I am not sure if they were being sarcastic about it."

She also noted that company time wasn't being wasted crafting these emails, as she creates them in '15 seconds' using AI.
Talking to her fans on TikTok, she added: "I just feel like my personality is being smothered by corporate America right now."
However, it seems as though viewers may have talked some sense into her.
In a follow-up video, she admitted: "I have no problem admitting that I made a mistake and misunderstood the assignment.

"All jokes aside, I understand why I shouldn't do this anymore."
One user advised: "Just leave it as a simple OOO email before you’re OOO permanently."
