Now, anyone who has ever gone in for a Brazilian wax will know just how intimate of an experience it can be.
And that was exactly the case for one woman who was left pretty perplexed over the unexpected text she received after getting her very first Brazilian wax which is, by the way, a hair removal treatment that removes most or all pubic hair.
Sarah Button, who hails from Australia, took to social media to open up about what went down following her appointment and she's since been inundated with support from people hitting out over the waxer's 'nerve' to make such a 'ridiculous' text message.
Now, the text in question starts off calling Sarah, 27, a term of endearment 'hun' before dropping the major bombshell as to why she would be charging her as much as $10 more for her next appointment.
Sarah Button, 27, has opened up about her less than ideal Brazilian wax ordeal (Sarah Button) "Just in [the] future, I’ll have to charge you a little more for the size of the area," the waxer wrote. "I hope that makes sense, nothing crazy, like $5 or $10 extra."
Screenshots from the text message exchange showed Sarah responding 'no worries' but it's clear that, since then, she is far from A-okay with the treatment she received.
Sarah, who has previously shared on her social media accounts that she has a 'fatty upper pubic area' - something commonly referred to as a FUPA - told news.com.au: "It made me feel initially a bit sad and confused and ashamed but that quickly turned to anger and I was just pissed off about the whole thing."
She continued: "Mostly p*ssed that there wasn’t any mention of it during the consultation or the actual appointment or anything.
"Like it wasn’t until I’d gotten home that I got the message."
People were outraged over the 'ridiculous' text the 27-year-old received from her waxer (Sarah Button) After sharing the text message on social media, some piped up to argue that if you have a larger area to wax, that does mean a waxer would need to use extra product.
However, most people seemed equally outraged over the whole thing with one person advising: "That is crazy. Please don’t go back there."
"She cannot send you that," a second declared while a third shocked person chimed in: "No way."
A fourth hit out: "That is ridiculous. The nerve of that person."
And a final person echoed: "Babe, as a professional in this industry, that is BS."
What do you make of it?
