A 76-year-old woman has shut down trolls who tell her she ‘shouldn’t wear’ certain things, hitting back by sharing a clip of herself showing off her incredible figure in a black swimsuit. An absolute icon.
Candace Leslie Cima regularly shares a glimpse into her life on TikTok, where she’s racked up 94,000 followers on her @lifeinmy70s account, which carries the bio: “Ageing is Changing. Exercise, Fashion & Lifestyle at 76.”

However, while most of her army of followers love seeing Candace’s outfits and praise her for her stunning style - there’s always one or two trolls with too much time on their hands who like to try and have a go.
Sharing a defiant clip last year, Candace could be seen strutting her stuff in a smart sleeveless top paired with some pale blue trousers, strappy sandals and some oversized sunglasses, with the words: “You’re 60, you shouldn’t wear that.” written across the top.
As she walked towards the camera, she whipped off her sunglasses, gave a little turn and the words: “I’m actually 75” flashed up on the clip. Ten out of ten for trolling the trolls, Candace.

The clip was soon flooded with messages of support from her followers with one saying: “She slayed and she knows it.”
Another said: “I just got goosebumps, what a queen!”
A third commented: “What a baddie.” I couldn’t agree more.

While someone else wrote: “You make me not afraid to age anymore.”
And Candace’s determination to not let trolls have the last word was evident in a more recent upload where she showed off some outfits she wore during a recent holiday - including a chic, black, one-piece swimsuit, which she looked unreal in, by the way.
Captioning the clip, Candace wrote: “I have been loving the sunshine here!”
And, once again, it was flooded with positive messages from fans who love her attitude towards growing older.

According to her blog, Candace explained why she chose to join social media, explaining: “I have always had a fascination with ageing even when I was in my 20s and 30s never understanding how something so natural could have a negative connotation.”
She went on: The one thing I know for sure is that Ageing is Changing. We are not our mothers or our grandmothers. We now have the chance to be productive, intelligent, compassionate, stylish woman throughout our later years.” And Candace is certainly doing that.
