A woman has revealed how she doesn't shower for six weeks while travelling - and why it's always worth it when she finally gets to indulge in one.
Jessy Muller - aka @slowroamer on Instagram - documents her travels while living on the road in her camper van.
The 'seasoned nomad' revealed that due to the shower in her van not having any hot water, she rarely takes a 'proper shower' and keeps clean via other methods.

But every now and again, Jessy stops off at a leisure centre or service station where she pays to use the facilities.
“I went five weeks without a real shower, it upset a lot of people so I thought long and hard about it and this time I went six weeks,” she revealed in a recent video.
Following her six-week stint, Jessy visited an aquatic centre, where she paid $5 (£3.90) to take a shower.

But to her disappointment, the shower was freezing cold.
"I guess the $5 didn’t include hot water," she said.
People on Instagram were horrified that Jessy chooses to go so long between showers.

While another said: "Oh no I could not go that long."
But Jessy explained that while she might not have a real shower, she still maintains her personal hygiene.

In a bid to help others understand that there are ways of staying clean without taking a shower, Jessy shared a video talking her followers through her hygiene regime.
"Let me show you the ways I actually stay clean without taking a proper shower," she said.
"I do have a shower in my RV, it's just that the water heater is out of commission. The shower head still works, it's just cold water.
"I still use this two ways: One, I kneel here, put my head over the basin and wash my hair.

"The other way is I pop a squat and clean the nether regions.
"I also wash my hair in the sink which I usually do about once a week. There are a variety of different cleansing wipes you can use, but I usually prefer to use a wash cloth.
"... Soap it up, scrub, pits, t**s and slits, you're good to go."
Jessy explained she can also heat up water on the stove if she wants to, but that the best part of not showering for so long is being able to appreciate a 'proper shower' when she finally gets one.
"As you can see there are a lot of different ways to keep clean, but the best bit is how much you appreciate a real shower when you get one," she added.
Despite people's horror over Jessy's shower habits, it's widely acknowledged that too many showers can disrupt the skin's microbiome, as well as stripping the oils which keep our skin moisturised.
A shower after six weeks must be up there with one of the best feelings ever...
