While thousands were at Buckingham Palace for a view of the newly-crowned King and Queen, the ITV studio positioned themselves at a temporary broadcasting base near the area.
While discussing the proceedings, Andoh made an observation that not only shocked viewers at home, but those sat next to her.
Andoh, whose father was of Ghanaian origin, was asked for her thoughts, to which she said: "We have gone from the rich diversity of the Abbey to a terribly white balcony.
"I am very struck by that.

"I am also looking at those younger generations and thinking: 'What are the nuances that they will inhabit when they grow?'."
As the comments were being made, the look on Myleene Klass' face said it all.
After going viral on social media, viewers were quick to voice their opinion on the 'confusing' comment.

"They are a white family, for goodness sake! Does she think individual families should be subject to diversity quotas?" one person wrote on Twitter.
A second tweeted: "I’m so confused by #AdjoaAndoh what did she expect to see? The Royal Family are a white family!"
Another added: "Was Adjoa Andoh just there to slag off the royal family for having the nerve to be white?"
While someone else wrote: "It’s shocking that companies like @netflix and @ITV are giving Adjoa Andoh a platform. To go on national tv and deride a family because of the colour of their skin."

The following day, the 60-year-old, who plays Lady Danbury in Bridgerton, has responded to the backlash on BBC Radio 4's Sunday morning show with Paddy O'Connell.
She said: "I think I upset a few people yesterday.
"I was talking about the day and how marvellous it was and then looking at the balcony at the end and suddenly going: 'Oh it's so white!' because the day had been so mixed and I didn't mean to upset anybody."

Earlier today (7 May) Buckingham Palace issued the first public statement on behalf of Charles and Camilla since they were crowned as King and Queen.
A Palace spokesman said the King and Queen were 'deeply touched' by the nation’s celebration of their historic coronation.
“Their Majesties were deeply touched by the events of yesterday and profoundly grateful both to all those who helped to make it such a glorious occasion – and to the very many who turned out to show their support in such numbers in London and further afield,” he said.
