Officials have declared that the documents recovered from the human remains discovered in Tenerife yesterday amid the search for Jay Slater do belong to the missing 19-year-old.
A 'lifeless body' was yesterday discovered in the last known location of the Lancashire youngster, who disappeared following a night out with friends on holiday after attending a music festival on the island on 16 June.
The Spanish Civil Guard told Sky News: "The Mountain Rescue and Intervention Group of the Civil Guard has located the lifeless body of a young man in the Masca area after 29 days of constant search.

"All indications indicate that it could be the young British man who has been missing since last June 17 in the absence of full identification.
"The first investigations reveal that he could have suffered an accident/fall in the inaccessible area where he was found."
Formal identification of the remains discovered in the mountainous area of the Spanish island is yet to take place, with the Canary Islands High Court of Justice claiming today that this likely wouldn't take place until next week.

"It is confirmed that the documentation that was on the body found yesterday in the mountains of Masca belongs to Jay Slater and everything suggests that it was an accidental fall," the court have now said in a new update.
In the minutes following yesterday's tragic announcement - which came just under a month since the British teen's disappearance - Lancashire Police issued a statement on the matter.
"We have today (Monday, July 15) been notified by the Guardia Civil that they have found the body of a man and that the indications are that this is Jay Slater," the latest statement read.
"While at this stage no formal identification has been carried out our thoughts are very much with Jay’s family at this time, and we continue to offer them our support."
