Elon Musk has opened up about how he wants to die - and it's pretty unsettling.
During a joint interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, Musk and President Trump spoke about the SpaceX CEO's role in Trump's administration, as well as the NASA astronauts who are currently stranded in space.
At one point during the chat, Trump revealed Musk's plans to go to Mars, telling Hannity: “[Musk’s] going to go into orbit soon. He’s going to go to Mars.”
Musk responded: “At some point, They ask me ‘Do you want to die on Mars?’ and I say ‘Yes but not on impact’.”

It's not the first time Musk has spoken about wanting to die on Mars, explaining during a keynote address at South by Southwest: “I'd like to die on Mars, just not on impact."
Musk has previously expressed his plans for sending humans up to Mars.
Last year, he claimed that humans could end up landing on the planet within the next four years, before living there in the next couple of decades.
"The first Starships to Mars will launch in two years when the next Earth-Mars transfer window opens," Musk wrote on X.

"These will be uncrewed to test the reliability of landing intact on Mars. If those landings go well, then the first crewed flights to Mars will be in 4 years.
"Flight rate will grow exponentially from there, with the goal of building a self-sustaining city in about 20 years.
"Being multiplanetary will vastly increase the probable lifespan of consciousness, as we will no longer have all our eggs, literally and metabolically, on one planet."

During his interview with Trump, Musk also offered up a bizarre 'explanation' over the NASA astronauts currently stranded up in space.
The SpaceX CEO said he was 'accelerating the return of the astronauts' after it was 'postponed to a ridiculous degree', with Trump adding: "They got left in space."

The comments are thought to be a further swipe at former president Joe Biden, with Musk claiming the reason the pair have spent so long on the ISS was 'for political reasons, which is not good'.

The pair also addressed claims that people have been calling Musk 'president', with Hannity asking: "They want you to start hating each other... 'President Elon Musk', for example. You do know that they're doing that to you?"
Trump responded: "I see it all the time... they have many different things... of hatred.
“Actually, Elon called me. He said, 'You know, they're trying to drive us apart'. I said 'Absolutely'.”
