The prospect of an extra bank holiday to celebrate England's hopeful victory against Spain in the eagerly-awaited Euros final on Sunday has left some footie fans enthralled.
England fans have endured nail-biting tournament in Germany, which has been littered with some questionable kick off arrangements put in place by England's manager Gareth Southgate.
It wasn't until senior team newbie Jude Bellingham saved the day during our the nerve-wracking match against Slovenia that the nation finally began racking up hope - thankfully followed by quarter-final success at the weekend against Switzerland in penalties.

Now, the nation is once again praying that the Three Lions will bring it home on Sunday night, especially after the last minute semi-final victory against the Netherlands on Wednesday (10 July).
It's not just the win that footie fans are manifesting this weekend, however - it's the potential bank holiday celebration that new PM Keir Starmer has been teasing us with for weeks that has many spectators intrigued.
The 61-year-old Labour representative had previously called for a 'proper day of celebration' if either the men's team won at the Euros in 2020, or the Lionesses did at the women's tournament in 2022.

And recently Starmer said that the UK should 'certainly mark the occasion' if England is victorious.
However, a group of football fans pointed out that the women's team did win that year.
Chloe Kelly took the Lionesses to a 2-1 victory against Germany in the 110th minute with a close range goal that year, marking the team's first-ever major trophy.
It also marked first major international championship won by an England team - men's OR women's since 1966.

But after the nation received no bank holiday in return for the Lionesses' mesmerising success, some are wondering why the men's team should get one.
Taking to X, one spectator hit out: "This will trigger people but it’s annoying how after the Lionesses won the Euros under Serena they didn’t receive a major reward.
"Yet the government want to give an extra bank holiday if England men win the Euros - The women deserve way more recognition and credit."

Another went on: "People calling for a bank holiday if the men’s England team win but we didn’t get one when the ladies team won! Men still deemed better than women."
"I wish the England Men’s team every success for their final on Sunday." a third said.
"On the subject of a bank holiday, we didn’t have one when the Lionesses won the Euros, So I don’t see why a Men’s victory should be any different."

A fourth continued: "I love a bank holiday as much as the next person, but if we didn't get a bank holiday for the Lionesses winning the Euros, I don't think we should have one if the men win.
"Would just further add to the idea that men's football is the default and deserves more attention."
