Chelsea FC fans have been condemned across social media after footage of a vile chant about Arsenal player Declan Rice’s girlfriend, Lauren Fryer, circulated online.
The footage was captured during the match between Chelsea and Arsenal on 23 April.
The widely circulated clip, although now-deleted, showed Chelsea fans taking aim at Fryer’s personal appearance.

It was immediately met with criticism and was condemned by many.
The misogynistic abuse of Rice’s long-term partner and mother of his child follows a barrage of online attacks about Fryer’s looks.
The 25-year-old recently removed all of her posts from Instagram after months of relentless trolling.

One person wrote on X following the removal of her posts: “Lauren Fryer, girlfriend of Declan Rice, deleted all the photos from her Instagram account because of the online harassment and fatphobia she experiences.”
Another person said: “The fact Lauren Fryer has had to delete all of her posts on Instagram because of the cruel comments towards her is heartbreaking. What has she done to deserve any of this, other than love somebody unconditionally and support their dreams. Isn’t that what we all want in a partner?”
Following the vile chant made by Chelsea FC fans being shared across social media, many people vented their frustrations publicly.

“It's just so horrible and I really despair about the messages these young lads get from the like of Andrew Tate et al that leads them to think it's ok."
There have also been calls to identify those who took part in the chant and have them banned from the stadium.
“Ban them immediately, fact he plays for our country is so disrespectful, let alone to abuse his mrs who is already struggling”, one person said.
Another echoed: “This is a hate crime and they should be named and shamed and banned for life! That poor girl.
