The mum of the British teen missing in Tenerife has spoken out after the desperate call he made to friends before disappearing.
Jay Slater, who hails from Oswaldtwistle in Lancashire, travelled to Tenerife for the New Rave Generation music festival before he went missing on Monday (17 June).
He went to the Canary Island with his friend Lucy and another pal, but has been reported missing after he went to stay with people he had met on the holiday after a night out.

Lucy later told police that he'd been on a night out with the group earlier that evening, but had strayed in order to spend time with new people he'd met.
She told the Manchester Evening News that the accommodation of their 'new friends' had been 'in the middle of nowhere', and that Jay had called at around 8.00am the following day to inform her that he was attempting to walk home after being unable to catch a bus.
He told her his phone battery was on one percent and that he needed a drink of water, but 'didn't know where he was'.

His phone then died, with his last location showing as being in ‘the middle of the mountains with nothing around’.
His location was revealed to be in the Rural de Teno Park - or the National Park of Teno - north west of the island.
Jay's mum, Debbie, has also since spoken out following the reports of his disappearance.

She said: "I’ve only been in Tenerife for about 10 minutes and I’ve just had a quick chat with someone from the British Embassy and am waiting for them to call back so I know a bit more. The consulate has been really good so far.
"I’m obviously beside myself with worry which is why I’ve flown out here with my eldest son to do anything we can to help."
Debbie continued: "We’re just praying the police or someone finds Jay. I know there’s a mountain rescue team out and a helicopter.
"Nothing’s ever going to be enough when your youngest son’s gone missing but it sounds as if the police here are taking this very seriously and doing the best job they can."

Jay was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with shorts and trainers. He was also said to be carrying a black bag.
A spokesperson for the Foreign Office told Tyla: "We are supporting the family of a British man who has been reported missing in Spain and are in contact with the local authorities."
