A mother of two has died following an accident at work, just days before she and her husband were due to celebrate their first wedding anniversary.
Jessica Howe, 32, from Missouri, fell while working and hit her head twice, once on the side of a sink and another on the floor, which resulted in serious injuries.
The awful incident took place on April 15, while Jessica was working at a Costco in St. Peters, as reported by NBC affiliate KSDK.

Her mourning husband, Kevin Howe, told PEOPLE: "She was in the food court area and she went to the back sink area, fell and hit her head on the sink and then the ground.”
"Her coworkers heard the commotion and found her on the ground."
After being hospitalised, the loving mother tragically lost her life just two days later, after doctors found that there was nothing that could be done and removed her from life support.
Jessica’s sister-in-law Amanda, set up a GoFundMe account that aims to help the family while they deal with the loss of their loved one, wife and mother.

Kevin admits that he is 'feeling hollow, empty, and completely lost,' and that he's 'lost the love of my life, my future.'
The GoFundMe account details how Jessica passed away just before 9 p.m. local time, and that she was surrounded by those who loved her.
Amanda wrote: “To be honest, the amount of people that loved her wouldn't have fit in the hospital wing.”
Reflecting on how kind her sister-in-law was, she added: "Even in death, Jess was always trying to help others and made sure she was listed as an organ donor."

She added: “Her organs will help save others and that's the kind of person Jessica was.”
Thankfully, Jessica’s eldest child, John, 6, 'got to say goodbye to his mother' before she passed.
Kevin told PEOPLE, "While he can't totally comprehend the situation, he knows his mommy is gone and not coming back.”
Kevin went on to say that their 19-month-old daughter, Serena 'knows something is missing.'

To Kevin and her children, Jessica was an amazing mother.
He shared: "Her children adored her."

"On her days off, she made sure to do all kinds of activities with them. She always wanted to make sure they knew how special they were."
A week after the awful event took place, April 23, the couple were due to celebrate their first year of marriage.
Kevin admits that he now feels 'apprehension' and is 'terrified of a future without her.'
"I could talk for hours about the wonderful person she was," Kevin explained about his love for Jessica.
"She had the ability to turn total strangers into friends. Her smile lit up the room [and] she had a whimsical, artistic soul."
