An Aussie mum has revealed the moment she 'thought she was going to die' after she was attacked by three dogs near her home.
While our four-legged friends are exactly that - our friend s- there have been many instances over the years where some rather unfortunate and shocking events have taken place.
And this is something Nicole Georgiou unfortunately experienced recently when she was out having a nice stroll with her Jack Russell Lola and Pomeranian named Charlie in Hampton Park in Melbourne on Saturday (1 July).

Three other dogs from a nearby yard escaped from their enclosure and launched an attack on the innocent group.
Speaking to 7News, the 40-year-old recalled: "I saw three of them coming and I thought, OK my dog is going to die and I’m going to get mauled by a huge dog and I’m going to die on my street.
"Before I could get away, two dogs grabbed two of my dogs.

"Charlie defended himself the best he could. He was trying to bite the dog to get off him and he sort of wiggled away so his neck wasn’t too injured."
Unfortunately, it was Charlie who took the brunt of the attack, which apparently went on for five agonising minutes.
The attacking dog ended up locking its jaws on Charlie's back legs, before other residents and passersby were able to separate the pups.
Devastatingly, Charlie had to have his back leg amputated, while Nicole spent the night in hospital as a result of injuries to her hand.

The mum has said she has since spoken to the owners of the attacking dogs, who were very apologetic about what had happened.
The dogs have not been seen since the attack, with Nicole only seeing one possible solution.
"They need to go. They’re going to harm somebody else. It could be a child next," she added.

The third worst region in the UK for dog attacks was in fact Coventry and Warwickshire, which saw 170 incidents in that period.
