Weirdly, one of the most hotly-discussed topics of conversation ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games was exactly how much sex the athletes would be having during the tournament.
I know, dirty buggers.
Anyway, amid the speculation, former sportswoman Denise Lewis has set the record straight on the matter, claiming that she once got very close to a raunchy encounter during her stay in the Olympic Village back in the day.

As we say, the revelation that the sporting games is a hotbed of intimacy is hardly anything we haven't heard before.
So much so that, back in 2021, athletes competing in the delayed tournament in Tokyo were handed a staggering 150,000 condoms by organisers.
Numerous Olympic personalities who've since retired from international competition have also lifted the lid on the sporting sauciness.

Including Denise Lewis - a former Team GB member who bagged bronze medal in the heptathlon at Atlanta 199, before winning gold in Sydney four years later.
During an appearance on A League of Their Own back in 2021, the now 51-year-old by comedian Romesh Ranganathan asked whether the rumours were true about how much goes on behind closed doors.
"Denise, the Olympic Village is, you know, we all know it's full of people just at it," he began the discussion.

The former heptathlete confirmed the speculation, going as far as to admit that she once listened in on a couple of her fellow athletes getting down and dirty.
"I do recall one occasion where there was someone literally at it, and I got a phone call," she said.
"Someone was in the next room to someone who was getting their groove on, and so we piled into the room next door."
As we say, however, Denise isn't the only former competitor who has spoken out about what really goes down between the sheets in the Olympic accommodation.

Spilling the tea, ex-long jumper Susen Tiedtke explained the advice given by coaches surrounding sex - which was, basically, not to get involved before competing.
"When you have sex, the body first has to recharge itself energetically," she previously told press. "After the competition, however, roommates were considerate if you needed the room for yourself."
She noted that 'sex was always an issue in the village', despite there being a sex ban in place in previous years.

The biggest admission also came from Alpine ski racer Laurenne Ross, who admitted: "I hooked up with everyone!"
While Skeleton athlete John Daly exclaimed that the amount of hook-ups was due to the amount of young people in the building.
"It happens! Incredibly good-looking [athletes], perfect bodies, tight Spandex. Of course there's gonna be some hooking up!" he said.
