The 2024 Paris Games came to an end yesterday and we saw a whole bunch of stand-out performances, a load of Olympic Village drama and one particularly controversial score change.
And now, fans of the prestigious sporting event have begun the four-year countdown for the next event set to take place in LA in 2028.
However, there's one sport which has already been axed from the next ceremony and one athlete has made her views very clear about the decision.

So, all in all, there were 32 sports are on the Olympic programme for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The world watched on as we saw Simone Biles win three gold medals for Team USA in gymnastics, Imane Khelif taking home the gold for Algeria in boxing and Team Canada's Alysha Newman being award bronze in the pole vault.
But what sport, which only debuted this year, has been scrapped altogether for the next ceremony?

The 34th ceremony will take place in the City of Angeles, over four decades since they last hosted the 1984 Games.
It will see all the usual swimming, gymnastics, track and field events, but we won't be seeing any Olympic breakdancing at all.
The decision, as controversial as it may be, was actually made before this summer's Olympics had even kicked off.

Breaking made its Olympic debut on 9 August, with the B-girls event followed by the B-boys competition the following day (10 August).
Japan took home gold in the B-girls event while Canada came out on top in the B-boys.
However, it was one Australian breakdancer who caught everyone's attention - Rachael Gunn AKA 'Raygun'.
The 36-year-old dancer, who went viral for her routine, unfortunately scored a disappointing zero across all three breaking battles.

In an interview following the result, Raygun opened up about her thoughts on breakdancing being axed from the 2029 LA Olympics saying: "It was disappointing it was decided that it wouldn’t be in LA, particularly before we even had a chance to show it.
"That was possibly a little premature. I wonder if they’re kicking themselves now?"
She continued: "What is an Olympic sport? What are the similarities between dressage and artistic swimming and the 100m sprint and the pentathlon?

"Breaking is clearly athletic, it clearly requires a whole level of dedication across a number of different aspects."
The breakdancer finished up: "It’s really bringing a new level of excitement."
