A chilling line has been uttered by newly sworn-in president Donald Trump, as he discusses the previous attempts made on his life at his official inauguration.
The Republican leader - who was victorious against Democratic representative Kamala Harris back in November - addressed the nation in a lengthy speech, after JD Vance was named as the administration's Vice President.

It was then that he looked back on the assassination attempts he endured in 2024.
In July of last year, whilst delivering a speech during an open-air campaign rally near Butler, Pennsylvania, Trump was targeted by a 20-year-old man, who fired eight rounds from an AR-15-style rifle from the roof of a nearby building.
Thomas Matthew Crooks was subsequently shot and killed by a member of the US Secret Service, after convicted felon Trump endured a wound in his upper right ear.
Crooks' aim also killed one audience member and critically injured two others.

Just weeks later, another incident occurred at Trump's Mar-a-Lago, Florida estate, which saw a man was arrested from the scene, carrying an AK-47-style weapon in his hands.
Reflecting on the two attempts made on his life last year - one of which, as we say, saw some of Trump's blood spilled - he told Capitol Rotunda attendees today (20 Jan): "I was saved by God to make America great again."
Prior to today's inauguration, Melania had her say on the attempts on her husband's life.

Speaking to Fox News in a rare interview back in November - following the release of several excerpts of her incoming debut titular memoir - the mother-of-one told of how both incidents affected her family.
"I saw how they treated him, how the media was against him," the 54-year-old spoke of Trump's threats.
And addressing the impeachment he was faced with during his first term in office, Melania added: "I think they are afraid of his strength, and he was leading this country with peace through strength.
"So, as soon he announced that he was running for the presidency, everything really changed. And I saw it, and I said, you know, this will not be very pleasant."

Speaking to Fox News, she added of his double assassination attempts: "So I always said to him, 'What is next?'."
The former fashion model went on to confess: "In one way, you’re not surprised, and with every event that happened, I kept thinking, 'What’s next? What are they trying to do?'.
"You always fear the worst, and then it happened."
