Kai Trump - the 17-year-old granddaughter of newly sworn-in US president Donald Trump - has a legion of fans online for one key reason.
Unlike the rest of her Republican family, the teenager isn't known for her controversial belief systems.

The social media star is the daughter of 78-year-old Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr, and his wife Vanessa.
People were taken aback that she was rather close in age to the politicians's own 18-year-old son Barron - whom he shares with wife Melania.
But Kai has a fan base all of her own.
And by the sounds of several gushy comments online, the air of 'normality' which Kai exhibits on her self-fronted YouTube channel has landed her in the good books of even the most critical of Democrats.

This week, she shared a video of herself getting ready for her grandfather's prestigious inauguration - which took place on Monday (20 January) - showing her having her hair and make-up done by an artist.
The rest of the video served as a 'behind the scenes' look at the festivities, with fans later taking to the comments to commend Kai for appearing to exhibit the life of an ordinary teenager.
"Kai is so unaffected by her family being famous and important. I adore her," one gushed.

Another wrote: "Kai and friends are so down to earth. I just like seeing her being a real teenager and act like it. You are a natural, the mess in the room, says it all."
"I love this. Teenagers being teenagers, not trying to be adults, just enjoying themselves and being alive," a third went on.
In the video - which has since racked up two millions - Kai went on to open up about the fun she and Barron used to have together as children in the White House, claiming they frequently enjoyed playing hide and seek in the presidential palace.
"Me, Barron and Donny, we used to play hide and go seek... and also on the front lawn [we] would play soccer," she told viewers of the vlog.

"A soccer vlog of me and Barron? If you guys want to see that, let me know.”
In her video, she also asked her dad to share a few words.
Don Jr. said: "I love this little smurf. I'm so proud of her. I jumped her yesterday and asked her if she wanted to speak in front of 25,000 people live and she absolutely crushed it.

"Even if, at her age, dads are not cool, I don't care, I love her so much."
