The world watched on yesterday (20 January) as Trump was sworn in as the 47th president of the United States - but it's clear all eyes were on Melania and her statement head accessory.
The second-time First Lady was seen wearing a black and white ensemble - but it was her wide-brimmed hat that really caught the attention of people online.

People online rushed to social media to share their reactions to the seriously 'cringe' moment, with many claiming Melania had an ulterior motive behind donning the headwear other than just making a bold fashion statement.
One X user declared: "Oh, now it makes sense. Melania wore the hat as a barrier to Trump’s lips. Got it."

And that wasn't the only thing people were saying about Melania's hat, as some even compared it to none other than Beyoncé's iconic 'Formation' outfit.
The hit track appeared on the singer's 2016 Lemonade album with the accompanying music video showing Bey rocking a similar wide-brim black hat which also covered a significant amount of her face.
After making the comparison, one fan dubbed Melania as being in 'her Lemonade era'.
"Ok ladies now let's get in formation," chirped a second quoting one of the song's lyrics, while a third likewise quipped: "YALL HATERS CORNY WITH THAT ILLUMINATI MESS."
