Donald Trump appears to awkwardly snub Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s wife after she tried to shake his hand

Curb Your Enthusiasm star Cheryl Hines appeared to frown at the UFC event when Trump didn't take her hand

Robert F. Kennedy Jr's wife, Cheryl Hines, was left apparently feeling awkward after extending a hand to President Donald Trump at a UFC event, only to be snubbed.

The Curb Your Enthusiasm star reached out a hand to shake Trump's, but he appeared to ignore her and continued walking past.

Cheryl was seen frowning after the uncomfortable moment where she was left hanging with her hand still out at the UFC event in Miami on Saturday.

Trump had warmly greeted her husband, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr, with a hug and a handshake just moments before as he stood next to her.

Hines then prepared to also greet him, but he ignored her and walked past.

Unable to keep a poker face, Hines frowned, stuck out her bottom lip and turned to look at her husband who just smiled about the blunder.

Trump attended the UFC 314 match at Miami's Kasya Centre along with his grandchildren Kai, 17, Donald J. Trump III, 16, and Spencer, 12, and Elon Musk sat the other side of him.

Social media users couldn't help themselves after a clip of the snub went viral, editing it together with the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme music over the top.

"Cheryl Hines getting blown off for a handshake by President Trump is just missing the Curb theme music," wrote one.

Someone else added delightedly: “Trump just totally blanking RFK’s wife feels like a scene out of Curb, hysterical.”

One joked: "Where's Lizzo when you need her to sing: 'I don't need him...I need a drink.'

"Donald Trump snubbing Cheryl Hines is literally a real life Curb Your Enthusiasm moment," joked another.

Comparing what happened to one of the characters in the show, one social media user remarked: "And RFK just stands there and laughs as his wife get dissed. Even her TV husband Larry David would have defended her honor."

Another wrote hopefully: "What if this whole 2nd term is a long Curb Your Enthusiasm season? That won't air until it's done. We find out Larry has been the cause of everything because he's beefing with some guy in a coffee shop."

A fan of the star replied: "I love the face Cheryl makes afterward. She's such a boss."

Trump received a standing ovation as he arrived at the event, with many gathered waving the now-symbolic red MAGA hats in the air.

The President spoke to reporters on Air Force Once after the event, and praised the ovation he received.

He believes it is a marker of how he is being perceived for his work so far: “It says we're doing a good job. If we weren't doing a good job, we'd get the opposite.”

Trump and others watched Alexander Volkanovski reclaim his featherweight title at the match.

Trump was repeatedly shown on the jumbotron screen, with the audience cheering in approval and chanting 'U-S-A.'

The President was also seen dancing to Village People's YMCA in his seat, a song frequently used in his campaign.
