New theory could reveal real reason Donald Trump looks more orange now than ever before

New theory could reveal real reason Donald Trump looks more orange now than ever before

Donald Trump was today re-elected to become the 47th President of the United States

A batch of eagle-eyed folk on social media have recently made a pretty hilarious claim that Donald Trump's tan has been deepening over the years, and that the newly re-elected US president is now more orange than ever.

Interestingly, one photo editor has actually chimed in on the speculation, believing that the evermore increasingly tangerine-like hue of the 47th President's skin tone is a real thing.

And adding to the debate, Emily Elsie has even attempted to explain why it might be the case.

For those who mightn't ever have noticed 74-year-old Trump's controversial use of cosmetics, the convicted criminal - who was previously charged with several crimes, including conspiracy to defraud the US and conspiracy against the rights of citizens - is known for his horrendous tan lines.

This isn't simply a case of having left his sunglasses on whilst sunbathing one day, however - no, his look is much more striking than that.

In fact, one could argue that Trump's look appears to be one of the most severe cases of 'having forgotten to blend foundation and bronzer into the neck area' that the world has ever seen.

So much so, that the former Apprentice frontman has been ridiculed over his burnt orange appearance ever since first announcing his plans to run for presidency nine years ago.

And whilst one might expect Trump's PR team to amend his striking appearance to prevent mockery, the two-time Republican leader seems to have played further into his questionable look, and has packed on even more bronzer.

This hasn't gone unnoticed by members of the public, one of whom wrote on X this week: "Donald has been painting his face increasingly, ridiculously, dark shades of orange and no one is asking why? Who does this? Why?"

Another noted: "Trump is extremely orange. Almost looks like a pumpkin."

"I genuinely thought my TV was on the frizz. But everyone behind him looked vaguely human," a third joked. "So I looked up the clip online. And it turns out Trump really is that shade of fluorescent orange now."

As we say, however, one photo editor believes that Trump's increased use of false tan is far from a laughing matter.

Sharing a snap of snap of Trump in July of this year - just weeks before an assassination attempt was made on his life - and one of him this week, Elsie wrote on Instagram: "We need to talk about the bronzer."

The computer editing expert began by confessing she initially believed the 'problem' surrounding the father-of-five's skin tone was lighting, believing that the backgrounds used when photographing Trump impacted the appearance of his complexion.

In fact, only recently does she claim her mind was changed on this matter.

Now, Elsie thinks his sporadically increasing tan is a purposeful decision being made by his team.

"Lately, I feel like something more psychological is happening," she wrote online. "When Trump took office in 2017, he was significantly less orange... but as his term wore on, more bronzer was applied.

"The more stressed... the more makeup. And then when out of office, the makeup would only reappear for the cameras. But it was mostly toned down."

She continued: "Then something interesting happened. After Trump’s debate with Biden in June 2024, the makeup all but disappears. When Trump was up in the polls, and a victory was all but certain, the bronzer was gone."

Sharing an extremely recent snap of the president - whose second term began today following a victory against Democrat opposition leader Kamala Harris - she added: "Believe me when I tell you we’ve never seen him like this.

"Also, it appears he’s doing his hands now?"
