A shocking video of JD Vance condemning US president Donald Trump has resurfaced online.
The clip - compiled on TikTok before being dispersed across social media - begins with the 40-year-old politician promising: "I will be a vice president that never forgets where he came from."
The introduction was made by Vance during an interview with RNC in July of last year, four months ahead of the Republican victory over Democratic representative Kamala Harris in the November presidential election.

The clip then fades to black, with a tagline of words reading: "Weird. Here's where JD Vance came from."

A series of other videos filmed several years ago then appeared, in which America's VP slams his 78-year-old boss.
"I never liked him," one clip hears a beardless Vance declare.

Another saw the father-of-three admitting during an interview prior to a different election: "I don't know who I'm going to vote for - I'm definitely not going to vote for Trump."
A third clip hears him confess: "My current plan is to vote either third-party or, as I joke to my wife, I might write in my dog."
Another continues: "What Trump is, is just another opioid."
A radio clip goes on to hear the now vice president admit: "I can't stomach Trump. I think that he's obnoxious and is leading the white working class to a very dark place."

Another radio clip has him saying: "I agree with you on Trump - I don't think that he actually cares about folks."
Vance adds in another video: "There is definitely an element to Donald Trump's support that has its basis in racism, xenophobia."
An eighth clip sees him confessing: "I think that he's leading people in a very dark direction - that's ultimately what worries me most about Trump."

"Trump is a really bad candidate," another hears Vance stating. "And frankly, I think, a really bad person."
The TikTok clip then adds another tagline, reading, 'Nevermind, I guess!', before showing more from the original clip of the VP announcing his firm support of Trump last summer.
"I officially accept your nomination to be vice president of the United States of America," Vance declares in the video, which then transitions to show Trump and his VP proudly shaking hands.
Naturally, the video has sparked mass backlash, with many condemning Vance's hypocrisy.

"There you have it. A man who lacks integrity and does not stand behind what he believes. Power hungry puppet. Really sad," one slammed in the comments of the compilation.
Another continued: "So let me get this straight. He hated Trump before? Now, he's vice president? Hmmm, looks like he chose his pockets over his people. Shady."
