Amid her return to the White House, incoming First Lady Melania Trump claims the Obama family made her first stint in the capital a ‘challenging’ affair.
Melania, 54, is posed to return to Washington DC next week when her husband, President-elect Donald Trump, 78, is officially sworn in as the 47th President of the United States.
The businessman’s inauguration is set to take place on Monday 20 January, and will see the likes of American Idol star Carrie Underwood and Lee Greenwood performing at the event.

Meanwhile, The Village People have confirmed they will perform at one of the inaugural activities, adding: “We know this wont (sic) make some of you happy to hear however, we believe that music is to be performed without regard to politics.”
As Trump gears up to commence a second term in office, his wife of almost 20 years, Melania, has confirmed where she will be stationed during his reign.
“I will be in the White House,” the mother-of-one confirmed in an interview with Fox & Friends on Monday (January 13).

“And, you know, when I need to be in New York, I will be in New York. When I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach. But my first priority is, you know, to be a mom, to be a First Lady, to be a wife. And once we are in on Jan. 20, you serve the country.”
Elsewhere in the conversation, Melania got candid about her initial residence in the White House.
"The first time was challenging,” she confessed.
“We didn't have much of the information. The information was... upheld for us from previous administration. But, this time, I have everything!”

This appeared to be a dig at the Obamas, who previously served as the American political family before being succeeded by the Trumps.
Melania has previously slammed the Obamas for causing a move-in delay back in 2016.
"It is customary for the incoming first family to start the moving process when the outgoing first family leaves for the holidays in December,” she wrote in her self-titled memoir.
“Sadly, our team did not receive the access we had requested to visit the White House residence in December.”

She continued to write that despite allegedly reaching out to the Obama team to request a convenient time for a visit, the Trumps ‘did not receive a response for weeks’.
“When we finally received the information, it was filled with errors. This delayed the planning process, and I was only able to begin renovations... once we were already in the White House. Those three weeks would have been crucial for ... starting preparations.”
Michelle Obama, the wife of former US president Barack Obama, claimed in her own memoir Becoming that she previously reached out to Melania to let her know she was on hand if she needed assistance.

This was because her predecessor, Laura Bush, 78, had extended her help to her when the 60-year-old herself was the incoming First Lady, remarking that if she needed her help, she was ‘a phone call away’.
In a later interview with ABC News, Michelle confirmed Melania never took up the offer to ‘reach out’ to her.
Stephanie Grisham, Trump’s communications director, said in a statement to CNN that her client did not require Michelle’s assistance.
“Mrs. Trump is a strong and independent woman who has been navigating her role as First Lady in her own way,” Grisham wrote at the time.
“When she needs advice on any issue, she seeks it from her professional team within the White House.”
Tyla has contacted the Obamas' representatives for a comment.
