He might be back on American soil, but Donald Trump's recent state visit to the UK continues to set tongues wagging - especially with regards to his behaviour towards Kate Middleton.
For those out of the loop with the high-stakes visit, joined by wife Melania, the President landed at Windsor Castle on Wednesday (16 Sept), for his second state visit. He was initially invited across the Atlantic during his first term by the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2019.
After being welcomed in by King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales, the group-of-six went on to enjoy a day of military parades, musical performances and speeches.
When the evening rolled around, the monarch welcomed the Trumps to a state banquet, during which the politician made some controversial comments about Kate's health.

"I just wanna say that His Majesty has also raised a remarkable son in His Royal Highness Prince of Wales, really amazing," he began. "Really amazing, we've gotten to know you and I think you're going to have an unbelievable success in future."
Later, Trump continued: "Melania and I are delighted to visit again with Prince William, and to see her Royal Highness Princess Catherine."
Trump turned to Kate, saying: "So radiant and so healthy, so beautiful, it's a really great honour, thank you."

It is believed that the 'healthy' remark is most likely a reference to the Princess' recent struggle with cancer, and as such, fell into scrutiny earlier this week - and following the emergence of another controversial clip, however, the American's etiquette surrounding the Princess has once again been called into question.
The new video in question was filmed on Wednesday evening during King Charles' state banquet, where the high-profile group were invited to take their seats to enjoy a delicious meal.

The footage sees Kate, who was seated beside Trump, attempt to move her chair close to the table with the help of a member of palace staff.

The President, however, appears to be leaning towards her, himself placing his hands onto the back of her chair whilst himself seated, and trying to assist with pushing the Princess in slightly.
Whilst it may seem like a polite gesture, Trump, 79, has since divided opinion for breaking major royal protocol, being that Kate's chair should only really have been handled by a staff member hired to do so.
"Humph," one X (formerly Twitter) user pointed out. "There are staff employed to do that."
"Well, if he was being a gentleman. He would have gotten up. Helped her then sat down," a second went on to suggest.

"He was figuring out where he could grab her!!!" a third joked.

In response to the backlash, however, fans of the Republican have since praised him for his hands-on approach, adding of Trump: "Yes, he’s a gentleman." Another also gushed: "Gentlemen’s etiquette."
