The mystery man papped attending Kate Middleton's annual carol concert last night - who has since been dubbed the 'Clark Kent' of the British royal family - has finally been identified.
The glasses-wearing enigma was spotted sitting behind the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children on the second row of the seasonal soiree, leading many spectators to wonder why someone seemingly so important hadn't attended any royal events before.

Mother-of-three Kate, 42 - who announced the conclusion of her cancer treatment back in September - welcomed over 1,600 guests into Westminster Abbey on Friday (6 Dec).
The musical service - which will be televised on ITV under the title Together At Christmas on Christmas Eve - marks the fourth event of its kind, with the Princess having hosted her third one in December 2021.
Sharing some footage and several photos from the Christmas concert, she penned on Instagram: "A wonderful time spent together with friends, family and those who make a real difference to the people around them.
"This year’s Together at Christmas Carol Service celebrated individuals who have inspired, counselled, comforted, and above all else shown that love is the greatest gift we can receive. Thank you for all you do!"

One heartwarming photo from the special event, uploaded to the Prince and Princess of Wales' official Instagram account, has since been plastered all over the internet.
As well as featuring the Wales' children, Prince George, Prince Charlotte, and Prince Louis, the photo saw a mystery man sitting on the second row.
Appearing to be in his mid-30s, standing heads taller than any other guest in the photo, and wearing a sophisticated pair of specs, the man roused the interest of hundreds of viewers of the festive photo.

It isn't just his handsome looks that have set tongues wagging, however, as other spectators have been left wondering why someone as important as to have sat on the second row has not attended royal events in the past.
Finally, however, the man, who many amused social media users branded the monarchy's 'Clark Kent', has been identified by experts.
It turns out that the man in the photograph is George Gilman, the husband of Lady Rose Gilman.
Lady Rose is the youngest daughter of Prince Richard, the Duke of Gloucester, who himself was cousins with the late Queen Elizabeth II, and grandson to King George V, and Birgitte van Deurs Henriksen.

She has attended several royal events - including King Charle's 2023 Coronation - though she and her husband George live a relatively normal life.
Well, normal-ish. Lady Rose has taken on several film roles in her career, including in two Harry Potter movies, and worked behind the scenes for the art department of UK sketch series, Little Britain.
George, meanwhile, who wed Lady Rose in Queen's Chapel, St James Palace, in 2008, works as director of asset management for Resolution Property.

The couple are parents to Lyla, 14, and Rufus, 12.
