Fans of the royal family are delighted after archive footage of the Princess Of Wales singing in a musical resurfaced

Fans of the royal family know that the Princess Of Wales is a woman of many talents, but have been wowed by archive footage that has resurfaced from her younger years.

An 11-year-old Kate Middleton is seen singing in her school musical performance of My Fair Lady.

The future royal features in the video taking the lead role of Eliza Doolittle, and singing 'Wouldn't It Be Loverly' in her best cockney accent.

It was recorded at St Andrew's School in Pangbourne, Berkshire, a prestigious private school where Kate was a student in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

However there's one thing that fans are all commenting on: they can't believe how young Kate is in the video.

It was filmed in 1993, when the future Princess Of Wales was just 11-years-old.

"What's startling is that she's only 11 here and is projecting 30's ,40's , even 50's , that's amazing and shows she had some talent there," raved one fan.

"Only 11? Is this true?" asked another.

"She does a grand job of Eliza Doolittle at the age of 11. It is obvious she is a person with an 'all-rounded talent... arts and sport'," added another.

"This person looks 30. Where is the 11 year old?" questioned one viewer, with fans replying: "Have you ever seen My Fair Lady? I suppose you haven't. The main character (Eliza) looks older and tired, before the transformation into a lady."

One joked wondering what her children make of it: "Bet Kate loves when this is trotted out now. Would love to observe the reaction of her 3 children!"

And others commented how much she looks like one of the kids in particular.

"Looks exactly like Louis!" observed one, with another agreeing: "You can see Louis there."

"Louis is her twin!" said another fan.

Others couldn't believe it was really Catherine in the video.

"Omg is that really her singing?” questioned one, while another added: "Is there a full video? I want more… She has a lovely voice.”

It turns out that Eliza’s love interest in the show, Freddy Eynsford-Hill, was played by Andrew Alexander.

He then went on to star as Sir John Bullock in Downton Abbey.

The Princess of Wales is also believed to be grade 5 in piano, and previously played the instrument during a Westminster Abbey broadcast in 2001 for Christmas Eve, and made a surprise cameo during a Eurovision video when it was hosted in Liverpool.

She also played the flute and sang in a choir while at school, so it seems there is no end to her musical talents.
