When Prince Harry first introduced his now-wife Meghan Markle to brother, William, and sister-in-law, Kate, the couples were said to get on like a house on fire and were even known in the media as the Fab Four.
However, their close bond wasn't to last, with ongoing tension between the pairs growing since Harry and Meghan got married in 2018 and later on, moved across the pond to the States. As a result, the two couples reportedly have little contact.
Meghan and Kate's relationship, in particular, reportedly became strained when they had a now-infamous argument over a bridesmaid dress for Kate's daughter, Princess Charlotte, just days before the wedding.

An expert analysed their body language at their last royal engagement together, revealing the awkward 'truth' about their fraught relationship.
The Duke of Sussex revealed details about the argument between Meghan and Kate in his bombshell memoir, Spare, which was released last year.
He said that Kate had contacted Meghan four days before the wedding to say that the dresses needed remaking as they didn't fit.

"Meg didn't reply to Kate straight away," Harry wrote. "Yes, she had endless wedding-related texts, but mostly she was dealing with the chaos surrounding her father [Thomas Markle, who had to undergo heart surgery just before the wedding]. So the next morning she texted Kate that our tailor was standing by. This wasn't sufficient.
"Meg asked if Kate was aware of what was going on right now. With her father. Kate said she was well aware, but the dresses. And the wedding is in four days!"
Meghan then snapped back: "Yes, Kate, I know... "
Harry says the infamous argument left his wife-to-be 'sobbing on the floor,' and Kate is reported to have come around with a bouquet of flowers and a card to apologise for the misunderstanding.

But, it seems like the apology may not have been enough to mend their relationship, with body language expert, Judi James, noting clear tension at their last royal engagement together at a Commonwealth Day event in 2020.
Speaking to The Mirror at the time, she described a small awkward wave from Meghan to Kate as a 'rather odd greeting ritual.'
"It wasn't the warm reunion that we were all hoping for," she said, before also commenting on Prince Harry's apparent awkwardness.

"When he arrived, the minute he and Meghan had to drop hands, he immediately reached for his wedding ring which is a self comfort. Even when she was beside him after they had stopped holding hands, he was missing her, needing her support.
"As Harry walked up the aisle, they both waved at the children, but his face otherwise was quite tense and unsmiling."
