The 'real story' behind Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle's infamous bridesmaid drama has been revealed after Prince Harry opened up about texts the pair sent to each other during the 'argument'.
Last year, in his 2023 memoir, Spare, the Duke of Sussex opened up about the chaos which surrounded his and Meghan's wedding day, which took place in 2018.
In the book, Harry directly addressed the relentless tabloid reports that Meghan allegedly made Kate cry in the run-up to the ceremony.

In her Oprah interview, Meghan insisted it was the other way around, but added: "I don't think it's fair to her to get into the details, because she apologised. And I've forgiven her."
Harry, however, was more than happy to get into the details.
In his book, the father-of-two claimed that his wife-to-be and sister-in-law had a falling out over bridesmaid dresses for Kate's second-eldest, Princess Charlotte.

With Kate and William's daughter, Charlotte, set to be part of their big day, Harry claimed that there was a spat over the fit of her dress.
He recalled Kate contacting Meghan just four days before the wedding to say that the 'French Couture' dresses needed remaking.
He wrote that Kate became frustrated because Meghan didn't get back to her immediately.

"Meg didn't reply to Kate straight away," said Harry. "Yes, she had endless wedding-related texts, but mostly she was dealing with the chaos surrounding her father. So the next morning she texted Kate that our tailor was standing by.
"This wasn't sufficient," he added.
Meghan's father Thomas Markle Snr had to undergo heart surgery back in 2018, and was ultimately unable to attend the wedding.
Harry says that Kate later complained: "Charlotte's dress is too big, too long, too baggy. She cried when she tried it on a[t] home."

To which Meghan apparently replied: "Right, and I told you the tailor has been standing by since 8am. Here. At KP. Can you take Charlotte to have it altered, as the other mums are doing?"
However, Kate reportedly disagreed, saying: "No, all the dresses need to be remade."
Harry says: "Meg asked if Kate was aware of what was going on right now. With her father. Kate said she was well aware, but the dresses. And the wedding is in four days!"

To which Meghan snapped back: "Yes, Kate, I know... "
Harry recalled Meghan telling Kate: "I'm not sure what else to say. If the dress doesn't fit then please take Charlotte to see Ajay. He's been waiting all day," to which Kate replied: "Fine."
After returning home to the aftermath of the disagreement, Harry says he found Meghan in tears 'sobbing on the floor'.
The following day, Kate apparently came round with a bouquet of flowers and a card to apologise for the misunderstanding.
At the time, the Royal Family chose not to comment on Harry's allegations in Spare.
Since then, luxury tailor Ajay Mirpui has revealed to the Daily Mail what went down that day.
He explained: "I've no idea what measurements Givenchy had received, but with our experience and knowledge we could see straight away that all six bridesmaids' dresses had to be fixed, as they weren't going to fit."
The tailor continued: "If anything happened in the background, it didn’t happen in front of me.
"But yes, weddings are stressful at the best of times - and especially one at this high level; you’ve got to respect that. They were faced with a problem like anyone gets at a wedding, with last-minute hitches. I can understand why anybody would be upset if the dresses weren’t fitting - it’s nerve-wracking."
Mirpui added: "I feel for them all because you wouldn't want the children to go out on a big stage in an ill-fitting dress – and that's what they were.
"All six bridesmaids' dresses had to be fixed, and we did it. I'm a royalist and I wanted to do whatever I could with my small business to serve the Royal Family."
"We had to work tooth and nail for four days, four of us working until 4 am three nights in a row, to make them fit," the tailor revealed. "We left Windsor Castle at 10pm, the night before the wedding.
"Did anyone on the day complain about the bridesmaids’ dresses and how they looked? The answer is no."
