Lip reader exposes Kate Middleton’s surprising comment about Prince William’s beard

The Prince and Princess of Wales appeared at a Remembrance Sunday ceremony last week (10 Nov)

It looks as though Prince William is planning on keeping his brand-new facial hair for the foreseeable future- and according to one lip-reader, no one could be more thrilled with that than his wife Kate Middleton.

It's been a week since the Prince and Princess of Wales appeared outside Buckingham Palace for London's annual Remembrance Sunday ceremony, which honoured the lives tragically lost during both the First and Second World War, as well as any subsequent conflicts.

Kate, 43, was spotted on one of the palace's several balconies alongside Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh - having stood in for her stepmother-in-law Queen Camilla, who was diagnosed with a chest infection last week.

Meanwhile, Prince William and several other important members of the British monarchy - including his father King Charles, and uncle, Prince Edward, Sophie's husband - appeared in the parade to pay their respects.

It was during the procession that the 42-year-old future King showed off the rather impressive progress of his facial hair, which he debuted back in September in a social media video which saw him and Kate congratulating this year's Team GB Olympians.

Viewers of the clip were bewildered at the time, with many wondering why William hadn't gone for such a look before.

One wrote at the time: "William with a tan and a beard!!!!"

Another said, 'You both look amazing!!!!! Love the scruff W!!! Catherine you look stunning!!', and a third added: "Great to Catherine again, and William unshaved haha, it’s been years since we’ve seen that, what a sight!"

And according to human behaviour expert Nicola Hickling, his wife is also a huge fan of William's rugged new looks, telling The Sun that she spotted Kate and Sophie gossiping about his beard during the procession.

Apparently, one moment saw Sophie asking Kate about her William's rather hairy aesthetic, asking, 'What, you like a beard?', to which Kate can reportedly be seen admitting: "I find it quite rousing."

Hicking claims Sophie then responds laughing, 'You're all better now', to which mum-of-three Kate also begins giggling.

However, the momentwas also analysed by another lip reader Kayleigh Harris, who told the publication that Kate described the future King's beard as 'never quite rounded', as opposed to 'rousing'.

She adds that Sophie then responds: "It's a lot better now."

The discussion comes after Harris claimed another segment of the conversation had between Kate and Sophie saw them discussing a mystery woman.

Apparently, Kate could be seen telling Sophie: "She will be supported in this."

And according to Harris, Sophie then told the Princess: "Yes, and especially..." With the end of the sentence reportedly being indistinguishable.

The lip reader then claims Kate was seen saying 'it's so special' before she added: "You're never quite ready for this."

Sophie is said to have agreed with her, allegedly replying: "Yes, absolutely."
