‘Leaked’ birthday phone call that ‘destroyed trust’ between Prince Harry and King Charles

The call reportedly involved Prince Harry's kids Archie and Lilibet

The relationship between Prince Harry and his father King Charles is said to have been put under strain once again after an alleged leaked birthday phone call involving Harry's kids.

While Harry has infamously spilled the beans on his time as a senior member of the Royal Family, particularly when it came to his book Spare, another alleged incident has put his relationship with his father under scrutiny.

The Duke of Sussex said goodbye to his working royal duties four years ago, moving across the pond with wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three.

Not only did he subsequently take part in tell-all TV interviews, but he also made a lot of claims about his family in his book.

His memoir described arguments he had with his brother, William, as well as intimate details on losing his virginity.

Harry, 40, and his admissions have allegedly caused a breakdown in trust with his father King Charles, amplified further following a fresh incident last year on the King's birthday.

King Charles’ birthday is today (November 14), and it was on his 75th birthday last year that he reportedly received a phone call from Harry.

What apparently happened is that Archie and Lilibet recorded a cute video of them singing 'Happy Birthday' for their grandfather, and the very next day, details of the call were leaked to the press.

The Daily Mail's royal editor, Rebecca English, revealed that this ‘was considered to have crossed a line’.

It was also claimed that the King was disappointed, and it may have scared off the rest of the royals from speaking casually to their relative.

A source went on to tell the paper: "A deeply private call between the King and his grandchildren and it ends up in a newspaper the next day. Really?"

While nobody can say who actually leaked the information, it allegedly did not come from anyone at Buckingham Palace.

It wasn’t long ago that Harry released a private heated exchange between Kate and Meghan.

He shared in his book that Kate apparently wrote to the bride-to-be: "Charlotte's dress is too big, too long, too baggy.”

"She cried when she tried it on at home," Kate added.

Meghan went on to say that a tailor could make alterations, replying: "Right, and I told you the tailor has been standing by since 8am. Here. At KP. Can you take Charlotte to have it altered, as the other mums are doing?"

That’s when Kate asked for ‘all the dresses be remade.’

Harry then wrote: "Meg asked if Kate was aware of what was going on right now. With her father.

"Kate said she was well aware, but the dresses. And the wedding is in four days!"
