King Charles reportedly had some words of advice for his eldest son when it came to his love life.
With the Prince of Wales set to be the next monarch, it makes sense that the king would pass down some words of wisdom to his eldest son.
And according to one royal author, Charles actually had some marriage advice for Prince William.

After first meeting Kate Middleton back in 2001 when they were students at the University of St Andrews, the now Prince and Princess of Wales went public with their relationship in 2004 before tying the knot seven years later in 2011.
The pair now have three children together - Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.
And apparently, Charles once had some advice for his son when it came to family life.

Speaking to Fox News, royal author Ingrid Seward claimed: “[His father] said, ‘Look, William, there’s nothing more important than your family.
“’Don’t make the mistakes that I made. I just did duty, duty, duty. I neglected my marriage, and look what happened'."
Tyla has reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment.

Kate and William have recently taken some time off their public duties as Kate recovered from cancer treatment.
In fact, Kate's appearance at the Together at Christmas carol service earlier this month was the princess' first major return to royal duties following her diagnosis, which was followed by rounds of chemotherapy.
In a statement shared once she had completed chemotherapy, she said: "The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.
"The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you.

"With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.
"This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved."
She added: "Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.

"I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.
"Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life."
