King Charles has provided royal fans with rare insight regarding his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, and how she spent her final days.
The Queen passed away in Balmoral at the age of 96 on 8 September 2022.

Footage was shared of her grandsons, Prince William and Prince Harry, alongside their wives Princess Kate and Meghan Markle, holding back the tears as they stood beside the coffin.
Following her death, her son Prince Charles became King, and his wife, Camilla, became Queen.
On Queen Elizabeth's decision to spend her final day in Balmoral, King Charles said during a Scottish Parliament speech opening on 30 Sep: "Speaking from a personal perspective, Scotland has always had a uniquely special place in the hearts of my family and myself.

"My late mother especially treasured the time spent at Balmoral, and it was there, in the most beloved of places, where she chose to spend her final days.”
The late monarch's daughter, Princess Anne, previously shared that it was important to the Queen where she would spend her last days.
In 2023 BBC documentary Elizabeth: The Unseen Queen, Anne shared: "We did try and persuade her that that shouldn't be part of the decision-making process.
"I hope she felt that that was right in the end, because I think we did."
