Prince George has hopes set on very unexpected career despite plans to take the throne

The 11-year-old future king might have a go at a different job before he takes the throne

Prince George, who will once day ascend to the throne and become the King of England, has reportedly expressed hopes for a very different career path in the meantime.

The 11-year-old will take the throne after the rule of his dad, Prince William.

It turns out the prince already knows he'll one day be King - a conversation we simply can't imagine having to have.

Royal biographer Robert Lacey revealed in his book Battle of Brothers, published in 2021, that Kate and William wasted no time in telling George of his future.

He wrote: “William has not revealed to the world how and when he broke the big news to his son. Maybe one day George will tell us the story himself.

"But sometime around the boy's seventh birthday in the summer of 2020 it is thought that his parents went into more detail about what the little prince's life of future royal 'service and duty' would particularly involve.”

However, in the meantime it looks like Prince George has his sights set on something very different.

The revelation reportedly came during a visit to Norfolk with his mum, Kate Middleton, when the two visited Wiveton Hall Cafe.

After seeing the chef put a pizza in the oven, the Prince exclaimed: "That’s what I want to do when I grow up!", as per the Daily Mail.

Desmond MacCarthy, the owner of the cafe, said: "They came here with their friends, because Sandringham isn’t that far away."

He also noted that Prince George is a 'sweet boy.'

Sadly, George's dream of being a pizza chef at Wiveton Hall Cafe will never come true - as it's set to close down.

It was once dubbed to serve 'the best food in Britain', by chef Delia Smith.

MacCarthy remarked: 'It's sad when things change, but I believe something else will happen in time.

"There has been an increase in costs, with electricity very high, and it has been harder to recruit staff.

"Despite having a very busy summer, it is difficult to run a business 12 months a year if it is seasonal and only profitable for a few months."

It remains to be seen whether or not George will ever have a stint in a different pizzeria, of course.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl told OK Magazine with regards to the future King's behaviour: “George is an absolute pleasure to be around and that’s down to his parents.”

She added: “They’re not raising him to be spoilt or to have an inflated sense of his own importance. He doesn’t get special treatment just because he’s the future heir. They make a point of ensuring their three children feel equal and that they’re all treated the same.”
