After years of turmoil which was kept private amongst the Royal Family, Prince Harry revealed all when he appeared on an ITV exclusive.
Describing the 'rift', the Royal opened up in his interview in July this year.
The 40-year-old, who celebrates his birthday today (15 September), sat down to talk about his battle with the tabloid press - and went on to share a lot more than people expected of him.

Prince Harry is allegedly ready to go out for a ‘lads’ holiday’ with his ‘closest mates’ today in celebration.
According to a source, he’s planned for a ‘low-key’ get-together with his wife Meghan Markle and their two kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Harry told People magazine recently: “The best gift I’ve ever been given is, without a doubt, my kids. I enjoy watching them grow every single day, and I love being their dad.”
The Express went on to report that the birthday trip will be to California, specifically, Montecito Peak.

The source told the outlet: “The Cold Spring Trail has lots of streams and pools which people regularly take a dip in.
“But there are also lots of snakes and other wildlife to contend with, like large cats.
“Harry and his friends will truly experience the outdoors as they take on one of the long hikes. Let’s hope he’s taking an experienced guide with him.”

Harry, who has been very honest about his feelings, discussed his years long battle with major UK tabloid publications, who he took to court over a phone hacking scandal.
At the time, a judge ruled that The Mirror Group Newspapers hacked the Prince’s mobile phone from 2003 to 2009 ‘to a modest extent’ and the Duke of Sussex was awarded £140,600 in damages.
But this was the catalyst which saw his relationship with his brother William 'destroyed'.
In a clip from ITV documentary Tabloids on Trial, host Rebecca Barry asked him: "To what extent do you think your determination to fight the tabloids destroyed your relationship with your family?"

Harry replied: "It is certainly a central piece to it.
"It is a hard question to answer because anything I say about my family results in a torrent of abuse from the press.
"I have made it very clear that this is something that needs to be done.
"It would be nice if we did it as a family, I believe from a service standpoint and when you are in a public role these are the things we should be doing for the greater good.

"I am doing this for my reasons."
Barry asked: "What do you think of their decision not to fight in the way you have?"
Harry said: "I think that everything that has played out has shown people what the truth of the matter is, for me the mission continues.
"I think as you say, it has caused part of a rift."
The Duke of Sussex also went on to talk about the High Court case against Mirror Group Newspapers.
He explained the moment he realised he had won: "To go in there and come out and have the judge rule in our favour was obviously huge.
"To be able to achieve that in a trial is a monumental victory."
The Mirror Group Newspapers told Tyla in response ITV's documentary: "We welcomed the judgment in December 2023 that gave the business the necessary clarity to move forward from events that took place many years ago.
"Where historical wrongdoing took place, we apologise unreservedly, have taken full responsibility and paid compensation."
